In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

What are you sorry for? Did you walk over to my laptop while I wasn't looking and fuck up my Ubuntu installation?
Heapers’ HangoutI apparently haven't learned my lesson, though, because now I'm thinking I should try it on my family's slightly more powerful desktop PC.
Heapers’ HangoutI think despair just kicked in, yo.
Now I ought to actually set up a VM for practical use, which was the whole point in the first place.
I can't remember if I like Ubuntu, Kubuntu, or Xubuntu best, so I'm downloading them all.
Heapers’ HangoutLink dat shit.

Because Firefox.
Last I heard, Firefox has a dumb memory allocation algorithm. Basically, it keeps track of the maximum size of anything it's needed allocated, and allocates an amount of memory with that size when it needs anything, increasing the max if it needs to. problem is that this means most of the allocations are for much more memory than it actually needs.

Heapers’ HangoutOf course, when I say dumb, I mean in a hindsight way.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I think Firefox and I are hatefriends.
Also the concept of "hatefriends" amuses me more than it should, despite the fact that I'm sure I'm not the first to come up with it.
Heapers’ HangoutWhen you're hatefriends with benefits, does that mean you have hatesex?
READ THIS COMIC. | Read along as I play through my games collection!Oddly, stopping the downloads I had going in uTorrent has made Firefox play nice. Spoiled Brat.
Heapers’ Hangout^ I don't know what that means...
Also I liked Sure, Why Not? better without the punctuation.

Heapers’ HangoutThat, or just configure it to use less bandwidth (or in usual torrent terms, «throttle» its bandwidth usage)

Well then I'm sorry.
