Troper Updates II, Part II

In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.

Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

Pretty sure I failed that essay. I was so busy studying The Aeneid that I didn't study my lecture notes. Granted, I expected it to be like 90% Aeneid and 10% lecture, and I could've done that.

I have been mislead.

Oh well. Not prepared is not prepared. Fucked fucked fucked.

Watching Monster episode 29. That pen suicide scene was quite possibly the creepiest thing I've seen on any television show.

Romans had a marriage custom where you had to part your hair using a spearhead that was used by a gladiator to kill someone.

Can probably get by with only having read 15. We'll see.

Lately I've had this thing where I feel sick after eating no matter how much I eat

It's annoying. I'll get hungry as hell, then eat with next to no appetite so I have to force myself to eat, and then my stomach gets pissy.

Not sure. I know the lack of appetite is a psychological thing, by definition. The sick thing, though? Not sure.

Back home.

I met some people with horrible voices today. Maybe this was cosmic payback for my having met a girl with a wonderful Northern Ireland accent while away.

Turns out I don't care about Roman history, I care about Roman society.

-The news report that we beat Argentina at soccer-

-I pay attention and raise my eyes from my lunch-

-Then they say we beat them at fake soccer-

-almost detroys the TV-

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.
