Troper Updates II, Part II

In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.

Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

Awake.

Got a message from my school's Financial Aid department saying I have to send in a little extra information to make sure my FAFSA is totally accurate.

But at least my classes won't be interrupted.

But why are they called creepers? But why do they explode? But why are they green?

They're called creepers because they make no noise when moving around, they explode just because, and they're green so they blend in with leaves and grass.

Be our guest, Marioguy.

I feel bad for posting something in OTC. I feel like I'm coming across as Naive, when really, I'm just pissed off that yes, this happens. All the time. Like a lot. A LOT. It happens. Yep (sip).

The author experienced a very stressful approach-avoidance conflict when deciding to write this textbook: On the one hand, there would be money, prestige, and the challenge of doing something new. On the other hand, a tremendous amount of effort and time would be required to write the text...

The author sounds like a cool person...if I didn't have piles of stuff to do they'd be fun to talk to.

No no no, that would be WAAAAGH.

Oh believe me, it didn't take any effort at all to get here. Maybe that's why I take this place for granted.

MELLON NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Seriously, don't. Think of all the potential benefits for sticking with it.

What is it, mellon? Can I help?

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

...but a lot of money, right?

Truly that's more my reason for staying here. >_> And because it's not my money...

"Potential benefit" being stuck in cubicle hell. I suppose that's what I chose, I always knew it would turn out that way.

What's better, pride or pleasure?

...technically pleasure. You can't live too well off pride.
