Troper Updates II, Part II

In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.

Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

Downloading the LG SDK from the LG developers' website... at a whopping 41 KB/s.

And it's not my end that's the problem.

Good game, LG. Good game.

My brain is clogged with magic.

Currently fiddling with my phone, trying to see how I get the USB Tethering feature to work. I'm pretty sure that once I get it to work properly, it'll be quite useful in the near future.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.

Drinking. So I've decided that if people call me crazy I'm goiing to correct them by tell them that I'm "super sane", since they don't believe me when I just say I'm sane.

No.

The more complain-y people in Video Games are no fun to talk to. They are so shortsighted.

I am pretty sure it would never be this complain-y in there if one of the complaint threads wasn't started by JAF.

I can't remember if it was specifically a complaint thread. Don't care. He has an agenda that I don't give a crap about.

Yeah, you have to be lightning quick on every stage though.

Lots of games have S higher than A.

(unless you're asking about that particular game, then ignore me since I'm pretty sure you already know this)

Apparently Video Games has become the new IJBM or something.

I don't know what to think about this.

You can basically slide dash through the entire stage and that still won't be quick enough.

You have to be absolutely picture perfect, especially on stages like "Trapped!?" and "Rolling Rock".

There shouldn't be complaint topics in VG. Eddie banned them.

I have no idea when I am going to sleep tonight; it's 7:25 and I'm still up. I went drinking to celebrate a friend's birthday, and then nerds that we are, four of us went round next door for a game of Risk.

I hadn't played it before. It was more fun than I expected, but then it dragged on for hours and hours. Our Conservative-Environmentalist alliance was actually slowly winning, but then we both got bored and launched a suicidal attack on the CommuNazi axis and got slaughtered. That game takes way too long.

Oh, fuck. For some reason I thought it was night-time there too.

...

Have you ever tried staying up for 24 hours?

@ Anon: I think the longest I've stayed up for continuously was fifty something hours, but that made me feel kind of ill.

You know the thought of staying up that long when laying down is usually an automatic sleep button for me.

Anytime I try I fail.
