In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

So today I hit a fitness goal that I'd been working towards over the course of the last few months: running 5km (about 3.11 miles) in under 35 minutes. It feels badass and fucking glorious.
I'm sure there'll be a come down from it, maybe tomorrow when I get up for work, and at the end of the workout I was so covered in sweat that when I went to buy dinner right afterwards the lady at the counter asked me if I had just been swimming, but right now I'm on top of the world.
| Wandering, but not lost. | If people bring so much courage to this world...◊ |Aside from the week being cut short by an incident which may-or-may-not be posted Sadness/Insecurity thread, I had the time of my life!
If any of y'all find your way in Galveston, Moody Gardens is a must. I also had some very valuable experience sailing Sonars at the local Sea Scout Base.
DAY 47 OF THE BLACKOUT SEASON
Lights poofed twice today.
Three hours the first time from 7 to 10 am, one and a half during the afternoon.
Supposedly it was because a transformer exploded somewhere nearby, but it's still frustrating to spend 90 minutes of heat during the hottest interval of the afternoon.
At least we ate pizza in dinner. It's been long since last time I ate pizza, and even longer since last time I ate franchise pizza.
135 -> 180 -> 273 -> 191 -> 188 -> 230 -> 300 -> 311Went out to Las Vegas on my own for about 5 days note . If I do this again (Vegas or elsewhere) I don't know if I'll go it alone, and I'll make more concrete plans on what I aim to do before I get out there, but overall I had fun: Despite the heat I went to see the sights up and down the strip, went out to a couple resort bars and sang karaoke at one, and caught a production of Evil Dead: The Musical. It was my first time organizing my own trip rather than being with the family (or in a few cases a church youth group), and I'm glad I now know I can handle things like that myself... Mostly. Anyway, I might start looking around for other trips I could take later in the year, though I'm gonna let my bank account recover a bit before I take any actions.

Trying out a sort of scavenger run in Oblivion. No money, no shops, no storage containers. If I want new equipment and stuff, I'll have to loot it from somewhere, or quest for it.
Which makes it hard to use magic, actually, considering I can't buy spells.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Just so you all know, I'll be a bit in and out today. I'm preparing my stuff to move to my new house.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I just watched the latest episode of Game of Thrones. The mysterious cult guy from the House of Black and White said "Finally, the girl is no one." Arya shot back with "The girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I'm going home." Then she just walked way. Talk about quitting like a boss.

Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I finally got around to updating the channel art for my You Tube channels from my previous artwork to more current things. I also plan on making tons more videos, and etc. There's also the little bit about an Undertale based series that is going to be so cute IMO that I might just pass out. I'm animating it all myselfffff. So aside from my computer crashing a lot and other stuff I am doing better.
I also wish I could finish my fanfiction for Madoka Magica, but mmmmmng.
So I have Movie Pass right now (for a little while longer, had to cancel it this month because of money problems). I pay a monthly subscription fee and I get free admission to up to one movie a day.
I also have the rewards program for the theater, which I haven't been using recently because with Movie Pass you have to be physically present in the theater, check in on your phone, and buy your ticket with their card, so I've just been going to the counter and buying it there.
But the rewards program has a free screening with purchase of five dollar refreshment voucher tonight, and it came up in Movie Pass as a supported screening. Eventually I figured out that I could use the automatic kiosk to sign into my rewards account and buy my way in that way. If they want to let me buy a five dollar drink on my subscription, they certainly can.
So I just saw Raiders of the Lost Ark on the big screen, had a bottomless soda, and paid nothing more than my subscription.
Fresh-eyed movie blogAfter watching the entire anime and still binging on fan-works, re-watching scenes, listening to the soundtrack for inspiration, I think I can confirm that I am now One Punch Man trash.![]()
