In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

This is a sad, sad day.
Now I feel really guilty about not having watched more of their films.
Hunting for jobs in information security has been interesting so far. Some of the bigger companies are paranoid about possible espionage to the point where I expect to be lit on fire during my next job interview.
At the top of the coming hour, as the timestamp on this post indicates, The Synchtube Troper Coven
will be providing the intriguing piece of non-Disney 1990's animated yarn Freddie as F.R.O.7.' (aka Freddie the Frog), featuring the voices of Sir Ben Kingsley and James Earl Jones and the muzak of Boy George and Grace Jones.
But first, swing by for new content from Retsupurae, more of Cybersix, a Brief History of Cats, and some other stupid stuff.

So a buddy of mine posted his photos from the football (note, not soccer) match between Gdynia Seahawks and Wroclaw Panthers. League finals, to be precise. I asked if those Seahawks won too. They did.
Now that's one crazy coincidence.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisFunny story: I went to get water from one of those big water fountains, and the nozzle on one side sprayed all over my jug. ;p
So when this woman came up behind me, I told her the nozzle was broken like three times and she said "Well let's just see...", and she lost a lot of water too. Ha.
So then I left a note saying "The nozzle on this side sprays. I'd advise you use the other side."
I left nothing to stick it on so it might not be there so long. And people might not believe me, thinking it's a prank, but if they don't, then it'll be their loss...

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayAn intentional Cassandra Truth sounds like an interesting prank idea.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I've been writing this story for a few days now, and I just realized that I've set myself up to fall.
The characters work in a tax office. Not only do I know next to nothing about how tax offices work, writing - and reading for that matter - about taxes and paperwork is boring as hell.
Why did I do this to myself? There are like 3 chapters detailing the characters working in a tax office. What was I thinking?
Congrats at getting three chapters written. I can barely force myself to do one for any given story.
But, just invoke Chandler's Law—make something really wild and dramatic happen to liven the place up.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayOf course, depending on the tone of your story, you could write the work scenes so that it's obvious to everyone that what they do in your story is not how a real tax office works. You know, to for comedic purposes.
I used to do that when I didn't know how army really worked. And even after my military I decided to keep the old tone despite knowing better. Same with politics and business. Of course, that makes the story full of Fridge Horror, but for me it's part of the fun.

I would love to know how nuclear flora could be attacked by shadow creatures.
