In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

Do not try to instill the vice of cynicism onto the newbies. How will this site remain alive if everybody eventually comes to hate it...
Or each other. Such beliefs are what pushed everyone who is now gone to become gone.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayUgh, I think I'll report myself sick. It's open house day and christmas bazaar and we have to stay until 7 o'clock. My willingness to do this is just slightly higher than my willingness to bang my head against a wall with full force.
Maybe I'll say that I have a strong cold. I did this earlier this year (sadly it was a truth back then and I really awful) and I actually have a cold right now (albeit a weak one).
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Just spent a couple of hours playing Rock Band and Blaz Blue with my brother and uncle, and I just bought Fallout New Vegas.
Happiness!

"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."I'm home. Went out to lunch, got an awesome pea-coat, a book on the mafia, a book on pivotal mistakes in history, Airman, and The Sisters Brothers.
Also since we were talking about anime earlier, you must all watch Giant Robo.
Ah, finally time for the weekend.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Yes, but aside from the accessibility to the die, the whole Shadowrun system is a horribly clunky mess. I love the setting and the fluff books to pieces, but actually playing the game is a nightmare.
No you will, don't lie. It won't be like a switch though. It will be a slow crawl. First there will be that one post that is in such bad taste that it sets you on edge. And then the derailing of a conversation you actually had interest in. Worse yet, chronic derailings by silly people. Soon you will come to notice puns and you might laugh at first, but that will become groaning and that will eventually become screaming. You will soon notice those posters who have this thing about them. At first you will think okay cool, something quirky to make them stand out and be unique. But then you will discover that they will not stop talking about their pet issue or status or topic. Even in conversations it has no rightful place being in.
But worse yet you will come across the posters who are just dumb and stubborn and may or may not have a little bit of malice to go with them. They will get things blatantly wrong and continue to do so. You can't correct them, you can't dissuade them. Hell you can't even agree to disagree because they will have to have the last word.
So you might not hate people here now, but you will eventually. Best just to find your particular brand of hate and embrace it.

There is also a very small (.005%) chance that you'll become awesome, but I wouldn't bet on it.
