In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

Damn it, Jedi Outcast, stormtroopers aren't meant to be accurate.
@Key: I confess that I wish to be educated in such a manner that I can wield the proper judicial terms and procedures with eloquence so as to help those in need of legal advice, as every person has a right to have their case presented by a learned professional so that their case is treated fairly in accordance to the law and the right of every citizen in a civilized state. :p
@Fluid: Yeah, becoming a lawyer is always a very popular profession choice, to the extent that Law studies have among the highest grade requirements despite there being plenty of places available.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!@Lemurian So that's a yes. ;P
How terrible of me. I want to be a writer, but I spend so little of my time writing and just reading Tvtropes.
There's some hypocrisy of me, I just wish I could find it...
Okay! Now to look for some work to do.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay@Key: I actually also want to become a writer one day...but I'm worried about not making it. In which case it will be good to have a Law degree.
Idler and Lemurian: Sleazebags in Law!
Well, I survived my speech.
I probably didn't get a very good grade, but getting some points is better than getting 0 points, and I don't feel like a wuss like I would if I had given up.

Heapers’ HangoutSorry, Keys. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll make it just fine!
"Reverend, how many demons have you exorcized in your career?"
"Oh, about fifty."
"And how many of them were successful?"
"All of them."
*dramatic chord*
"How do you know?"
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! And then we bring out our star witness, a little girl whose symptoms of demonic possession didn't end when the priest exorcised her to discredit his claims!
Man, someone write this now.
You're an ad hominem attack!Or maybe we're hired to defend the priest, and we think the best defence is arguing that the girl was suffering not from demonic possession, but from a mundane medical condition, but our client refuses to allow us to mount that defence because he's still convinced that there was a real demon in her.
You're an ad hominem attack!Me: OBJECTION! Your honour, this priest is a fraud. I even doubt that he is a priest."
Judge: "Mister Lemurian! These are grave accusations! Where is your proof?"
Me: "They are in the good book itself, your honour. As we just heard, the accused just stated that he exorcised an Ophan from an elderly gentleman. Is that not right?
Priest: "Y-yes?"
Idler: "Hm hm hm...heh heh heh. Such an elementary mistake from a fraud of an exorcist. You are not doing the Lord's doing, you are simply lining your pockets by playing on people's fears of the spiritual forces at work in our world. You take the words from a holy book and turn them into profitable lies."
Judge: "Enough of this, mister Idler! What are you getting at?"
Me: "An Ophan, your honour..."
Idler: "is an angel, not a demon!"
Fake Priest: "Nooooooo! How do you know these random and otherwise useless factoids?!"
Idler: Your Honour, we present to the Court that the girl is in fact not suffering from demonic possession, but an unconventional disease that is proving hard to diagnose.
Judge: But she just tried to strangle your client with her mind!
Lemurian: A disease which manifests hitherto undocumented psychic effects. To prove our point, we want to call a trained and knowledgeable psychologist to the stand; mister Hopelessguy.
Hopelessguy: PSYCHOLOGY DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!
