Troper Updates II, Part II

In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.

Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

I wish I had a cellphone too.

Idler: Thanks.

Welp, I got Innistrad and a billion of decks that can be improved by it. And a liveblog to attend to. And some homework, so I guess I'll have something to busy myself with.

I'll play you if you want; I've tried to make some standard-legal decks.

Hmmm, turning all of my godawful transcriptions into something readable by the everyday musician is actually easier than I thought it'd be.

The advantages of standard notation, I suppose.

Been hanging around the RPG.net wiki for a while now, and learned an unhealthy amount of D&D exploits. None of which would probably pass the average GM anyway, though.

It figures you'd show up right as I'm getting ready to go out...

And thanks. Now I can drive myself to school!

@Merlo, pages ago: I thought chainmail bikinis were just nipple-graters, not boob-windows.

@Neutrinos being FTL: I like how one scientist is quoted in the article saying that (s)he didn't want to think of the implications.

I mean, what do you think is gonna happen when you screw with Einstein's theories?

If this is found to be true: a paradigm shift, which will give physicists worldwide a headache.

And then what? Then we probably end up understanding less about not only light, but the universe itself. It wouldn't put us back to Square One, but it could be a setback.

ObiJuanKenobi Since: Mar, 2011

It's a big setback. Like...a hundred years of work setback. Which means lots of new research. Which also means spending even more money. Both to update current info and to actually investigate both this new finding and its implications.

Until quantum mechanics, scientists considered physics to be pretty much solved save for a few minor irregularities. This may set back a number of theories, but ultimately they can be improved beyond what they were.

Oh, definetly, but still...all the work that would go to that would be pretty big.

but hey, all in the name of SCIENCE

And hey, it's not like everything we know suddenly stopped being true or whatever. Just incomplete.
