Troper Updates II, Part II

In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.

Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

False Dichotomy! Sometimes I think that people don't believe that there's anything besides Reps and Dems.

I should talk to someone in country where the multiple parties actually have a chance...anyone here one of those?

Well, we've got five sort-of major parties here, but that's it.

What's with the stereotypes dude?

That being said, even if we had multiple parties with a change of winning, they wouldn't be able to get things done on their own. They'd have to compromise to get things done and we'd most likely end up with 3 major parties; one liberal, one moderate, and one conservative.

That's not big deal for me though, don't touch my guns, fund the militarily, and I'm golden.

I'm on Tvtropes, there are no stereotypes. :P

I dunno, maybe I'm just bitter because my dad's like "Obama or Perry, no other choice". How cruel.

Pick Perry; it's not like anyone else is going to get nominated, much less have a chance.

Likely. Which makes me bitter. >_> Sometimes I think that if I vote it's gonna be for someone with no real chance of winning just to spite everyone.

And naturally, I still have more pressing matters.

Like, I wonder if my English professor updated Blackboard yet...

Multiple parties inevitably leads to coalition governments, meaning even more inter-government arguing is required to achieve no real result.

end up with 3 major parties; one liberal, one moderate, and one conservative.

In case you want to know how that works out, ask the UK.

@Keybreak: Firstly, there's no such thing as "voting to spite someone"; unless you tell them, nobody will ever know. Voting is one of the most important things you can do as a citizen of this nation; don't squander it on some childish attempt at defiance.

You select "Bass" in the instrument options of your game, generally after you selected the song.

Good night, Kraken.

Kraken is sleeping. Now I can say stupid things without fearing his mighty disappointment.

Anyways, if my school doesn't stop playing Rebecca Black's "Friday" over the intercom, I will rebel. Okay, not rebel, just read rebellion-related books. Okay, I'll just read a biography of Robespierre and whine on the forums until they stop playing Friday.

They play it once every fifteen minutes. Last year it was at least only once an hour.
