Double-decker buses too. The wiki says other sources of inspiration were used for Red Grave's visuals in 5 (like Mission 02
◊ being clearly based on the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping mall in Milan, Italy
◊), but yeah there's a bit more "SUPER British" parts to it to make me guess that if you held Hideaki Itsuno at gunpoint and demanded him tell you what country Red Grave City was in, he'd probably blurt out England.
Been playing the first game. Man, it’s honestly kinda light on story.
And the gameplay can be frustrating…

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. The first bonus mission you have to do in like an underwater section IIRC used to piss me right the hell off.
And there's this courtyard where you have to do a bunch of jumps. I think that was Griffon?
And a pirate ship/cavern section IIRC. I remember getting stuck there.

Some tips regarding DMC1 gameplay:
- Alastor and Air Raid can turn several boss fights into a joke, provided that you can stay afloat (or move around quickly to avoid attacks) and not waste the Devil Trigger gauge.
- There's even a platforming segment/puzzle near the end of the game which appears to be difficult at first glance, but can be "cheesed" or solved easily if you just fly towards the objective using Alastor's Devil Trigger.
- Ifrit is an extremely useful weapon against enemies that can block your attacks (might as well say it's one of the weapon's main purposes)... especially against Nelo Angelo since that guy loves blocking.
- The game has some kind of "elemental affinity" or "elemental weakness" mechanic when it comes to weapons and certain enemies, so don't be surprised if you're dealing less damage when you attack the electric Plasma demons with the lightning sword Alastor. Frosts, on the other hand, receive more damage from the fire-elemental Ifrit gauntlets. IIRC, the game does tell you such strategies when you fill up the Enemy Files and read them.
The first Anime was fairly clearly set somewhere in Europe, the architecture as well as the multiple cases of using passenger trains to get around makes it a hard argument for being in America.
As for the new trailer, I find it interesting that Agni and Rudra are in the series and in this continuity they have heads. They way they talk and how it looks like they're going to be a repeat fight makes me wonder if they're going to be the Villainous Two Guys of the show.
As for DMC 1, I found it rather slow to start with, and frustrating in the early game unless you want to grind in mission.

So to keep up with the early 00s them the show has going, Evanescence will be releasing a new song for the show.
Ironically he is alluding to a very observable effect in Christianity
where the focus on social reform and helping others was superseded by a focus on SCARING people into repentance you see it alot in Catholic Architecture
IE the focus on getting saved superseded on what to do afterwards
Damnit i can't think of the term
This is an outrage against Luminara!I'm pretty sure that while hell and the Apocalypse features somewhat in some Catholic churches, the main emphasis is on either God, the Heavens or the Saints.
Rhetoric on the other hand, that's another thing that swinged from time to time.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.On his Instagram, Hideo Kojima recently posted
the new Evanescence song, "Afterlife", from the upcoming Devil May Cry (2025) Netflix adaptation.
We'll know soon enough.
If it's the former, who told him about Vergil in the first place?
One Strip! One Strip! So the just put up the soundtrack list for season 1 of the show (this is not an April Fools joke by the way)

Yep, it doesn't really make it definitive. The phones were pretty unmistakably British though, and there's certainly no implication "This is an American city with architecture designed by British-ophiles" (or however that word would actually be).
