Actually, the announcer for DMC 5 is supposed to be Balrog, the gauntlet DA this time around.
DMC 1 is that hard?
Hoo boy.

Well, I better get to replaying DMC 3 so I can form a better argument.
But seriously, you got me there.

DMC1 is mostly hard because of the limited moveset. I doubt DMC5 Dante would have much trouble beating it.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. That's actually a pretty neat Gameplay and Story Segregation all things considered.
Well yes, but actually no. The enemy design would still play heavily in disfavour of DMC 5 Dante — in fact even more so due to that character not being made for it. For example, he would have an hard time being aggressive against DMC 1 Frosts short of costantly using Welter Move, and you don't wanna know how difficult it would be for him to fight through DMC 1 DMD levels.
A video on masculinity in the Devil May Cry series, as seen through Vergil, Dante and Nero. The video looks at how Vergil embodies old-fashioned views, Dante as a rebel without a cause and how Nero is a mixture of the former two's characteristics.
Video is 22 minutes.
Already replied in the other thread you posted this in, but I like this video a lot. This is the sort of thing I’d seen people discuss here and there, but it’s good to see someone actually make a whole video and lay it out like this.
The same video author also did a video on the themes and symbolism used in Devil May Cry 2.
I'm pretty sure Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga isn't actually a Stylish Action game, but I would be lying if I didn't say it looks pretty convincing that it does. And does give me some ideas about what a co-op Stylish Action would look like. Not to mention a lot of this gameplay reminds me of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. Which, I also don't really know if it can be considered a Stylish Action game.
Feels like a couple of the devs went way harder than they needed to. I dig it.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Kinda disturbing to see Kid Anakin being used as a training dummy, but I'm under the impression that he has unlimited HP.
He does, THAT is why people use him. Crosses the Line Twice Black Humor at its finest
Yea, I don't think that would've worked nearly as well if it wasn't a Lego game.
Via VGchartz, DMC 5 has sold a combined 5 million units.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I saw that yesterday.
It's not as big as other famous titles but nonetheless, it's extremely well deserved. I wish it could enter the double-digit numbers but I'm just grateful it sold that well. Maybe some other Capcom series can piggyback on DMC?
I've never kept track, but isn't this the most sold for the DMC series?
Can't find hard data for 4, but yeah, it seems 5 is the best seller of the series. Well deserved.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I very much agree with that.
I still wished it was more, but those numbers shouldn't be taken for granted.
I know we won't get a sequel or even another series anytime soon, but it's extremely nice to know that not only DMC won't become dormant again. Not only that it's a Capcom series that won't be ignored like so many other Capcom IPs
Why can't we get a movie like this? https://www.reddit.com/r/DevilMayCry/comments/udvnvp/devil_may_cry_reference_in_a_chinese_sitcom_man/
Mileena MadnessBecause one would argue that's just a really good fan-made video & that's it.
I got DMC 5 as a gift from a friend. Took me a while to get started (looks like it's the biggest game in my Steam Library), but here I am.
I am having a really bad time.
I tried going with the default Keyboard + Mouse control scheme, since I don't have a controller; and I cannot for the life of me use it. DMC 4 muscle memory takes precedence, and so I thought I'll just switch up the keys, do keyboard only, like in the olden days.
To elaborate, the keys work in the ether, but - depending on the angle of the camera, how Nero and the enemies are placed, etc. - they refuse to play ball now and then. I don't have any explanation for why that's happening, but it's not the kind of game where I can either afford for that to happen or to just go back to the keybindings whenever I'm in a pinch.
Has this happened to anyone here, that the keys don't respond under certain (inexact) conditions?
How do lizards fly? That’s one badass plastic sword.

There are a few users here that could probably give you an answer, but I think you're better off asking somewhere else in the meantime.
I posted this in the Darkstalkers thread already but does anyone think Darkstalkers merging with DMC verse be a good idea? Considering that DMC V sold over 5 million copies I think it would be nice if Darkstalkers tailcoats that success DMC currently has.
But the other thing I wanted to bring up is how anyone would feel about playing as & against Darkstalkers characters? I think someone like Talbain would translate pretty well, but I can still imagine that it would pretty difficult to design. As for bosses, I just like the idea of having more humanoid bosses that aren't the Angelos. I can imagine some pretty great boss fights for Bishamon, Demitri, Morrigan, & especially Jedah. I also imagined that Pyron would translate pretty well as well. While I don't think his boss fight would be all that great it couldn't be worse than Sanctus. Also, I can imagine Anita being a pseudo successor to V's puppet style
Have you ever wondered why there's an announcer and style meter? No? Well there's fanart of it anyway
