Honestly I could see a 4th Nelo fight working cause that would mean you fight Nelo in EVERY stage of the game
Castle, Outside, Night and Underworld
Four equals Death for Symbology
That and Dante fighting Nelo KNOWING its Vergil and having to put him down... That's Dramatically heavy fight right there which can easily be used to explain his colder demeanor in 2 instead of Bingo's lazy He likes all his characters as overly dysfunctional human beings
Mundus throwing Nelo jacked up on the essence of Phantom, Griffon and Nightmare would bridge a connection to V choice of familiars
with the twist that Vergil's not as traumatized as he'd like to admit since Mundus for the most part gave him what he wanted, He was on a leash sure but he was more Demon then human and Mundus pretty much lets him deal with opponents as he pleases... Mundus pretty much spoils Vergil... almost like your cool Uncle
Plus a DMC 1 remake would either have full fledged Sparda or Nelo as the bonus character so putting more into Nelo means more to translate as a character
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!I thought Dante's characterization in 2 was the original director's call, not Bingo's.
...That's not the impression I got at all. There's absolutely nothing suggesting that this is the case, and plenty to suggest otherwise. I know you're brainstorming and not interpreting existing stuff, but "being a brainwashed slave with no free will or sense of self was secretly awesome!" sure is a take.
As far as the general topic, a DMC1 remake isn't a bad idea. Could tweak the parts that didn't age well (fixed camera platforming, underwater bits) and flesh out what's there already. Make it fit better with the rest of the series story and character-wise. 2 would be more complicated, since you'd basically be making a completely new game, but if they pulled it off, it'd be cool.

It's made very clear that being Nelo Angelo was torture for Vergil. The armor was effectively a mobile prison for Vergil, and being inside it wasn't good for his health. There's a reason his skin is revealed to be pallid and grey when he finally takes off the helm.
Disgusted, but not surprisedV also reacts pretty badly when he encounters the Proto Angelo.
In the Visions of V manga, V clearly sees his time as Nelo Angelo to be horrible torture.
Is this not established already?
Looking at the past Devil Arms, I can't really see Vergil using most of them other than Lucifer & Cerebus.
Funny enough, the chakram & scythe from DmC were weapons I can see Vergil using & if he didn't hate guns so much, I can see him using a sniper.
Presenting some of the best Nero gameplay you'll ever see. The combo starting at 0:35 is just perfect.

Heart of Stonewoaaaaaaaaaah, nice !
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."I'm kind of bored so thought I'd ask: What do you guys think a CW live-action Devil May Cry series would be like?
Be as serious or humorous in your answers as you see fit.
Dylan and Cole Sprouse as the Sparda twins or GTFO
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterPart of the reason I asked this was because every time I do fan casts for DMC, it's mostly CW actors.
Anyone else have any ideas for live action fan casts?

I could've sworn I already saw that in a mod?
I saw one that kept the hair too, I think.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.A reminder Adi Shankar bought the rights to Devil May Cry specifically to keep a live-action movie or series from being made. His animated adaptation is a Development Hell entry, but at least he succeeded on that regard.
Where was that said?
That was straight from Shankar.
I quote that he "acquired these rights so [...] Hollywood [doesn’t] fuck this up."
He better not make DMC edgy. I still think DmC is pretty underrated so I'm not interested in hearing the same reaction.
Anyways, here's the most stylish Dante win
The series being made at this point is a question mark. No word for three years, enough time to throw it in Development Hell.
I feel like the initial announcement was an extremely early one, though. All he said was that he had the rights and was going to make a show, not that the show had started production. I feel like we’re not likely to hear anything until after the next season of Castlevania, at least.
Be nice to hear something, though.
While I wouldn't be all that disappointed, I could've sworn there was a confirmation that Castlevania & DMC took place in the same verse after Season 3?
I'd just move the third Nelo fight to before Mundus, tbh. That or rework the last Nightmare fight to have a boss rush where Dante fights some of the bosses from 3, including Vergil.
