That's not a fair example though
His theme already has experience with having chemistry with everything
I'd say Chris and Jill are a better example cause the whole point of Leon and Ada is Leon is chasing something when Claire's right there!
They'll let you hook up with side characters... XD
Chun Li and Ryu are basically Poster Boy shipped with Poster Girl thats kinda it
____
Gameplay wise
I'd say as of 5
Dante's is pretty much his best position all thats needed is to make sure his weapons stay unique and diverse while being fun. No need to reinvent the wheel here for a potential DMC 6
Nero is almost to the point where improvements aren't needed... really all he needs is the Breakers to be more unique and utilitarian and less limited precious resource, Perhaps tie the full power breakers to the Exceed? of just have them on cooldown. Nero got a path to his own form of D As which would give him the variety factor.
Nero's just a Sin devil Trigger away from catching up.
Vergil is also like Nero, he is pretty close to being in that doesn't need improvement/refinement just worth while additions. The issue with Vergil is for the most part his gameplay has center one key aspect... He's a souped up Trickster 'Like Trish is a Swordmaster and Lady is a Gunslinger'
I think its time for Vergil to be given the style change abilities, with the concentration being a big factor to Vergil's playstyle I don't think style change would change Vergil's focus on methodical attacks. The only thing it would do is well Vergil's main feature is that damn teleport being ready in case of panic.
Swordmaster and Royal Guard would fit Vergil perfectly "Would Vergil get Super armor mode since Dante doesn't use Dreadnought no more?... Did anyone use Dreadnought? .. -cricket chirp- I liked it it just doesn't really fit Dante's style
and with how much of a Spell whore Urizen is... Vergil having some type of Warlock style along with new Ranged moves to compliment his fighting methodology would be fitting.
Actually its kinda Funny that Vergil the Swordsman's two halves are very much Mage fighters
V's a Summoner and Urizen's a Warlock. Even when Urizen gets up to fight you he is still spamming spells
V being the newest playstyle... There is alot of ways you could go about improving him.
His most glaring weakness is he can be rendered defenseless as in having no way to fight off attackers if his summons are healing and he is out of DT,
Frankly one update I'd like is the ability to set who is your DT Summon...
like if you pick Griffon, Nightmare is now this floaty blob that shoots ice shards and freeze beams and launches those tiny interceptors
But DT Griffon is more akin to his Namesake, just pelting the battlefield with lasers, Lightning bolts and Bombs and Tornadoes
If you pick Shadow, Nightmare is more akin to a blob monster lashing out with tendrils and biting or unleashing those damn slugs!
DT Shadow... well I thought a Big Lion like Shadow would be good but how about instead of one big shadow you get Four jacked up Shadows 'as a Nod to the Secret mission Shadow of Darkness and 4 equals Death!
and they'd be like Hyper aggressive just mauling everything

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!I've never seen Leon and Claire as anything other than friends but I'm sure internet Chris sees things differently.
It's like Superman and Wonder Woman over at DC but at least those two have an existing relationship to build a romance off of.
Yea that's basically Ryu X Chun is so popular.
His theme already has experience with having chemistry with everything
Ha, nice!
They're always going to try to top themselves when it comes to Dante. I honestly don't know how, but they're going to find a way.
As far I'm concerned all you gotta do is just give Nero the option to switch Nero's Devil Breakers. This is apparently is a heated discussion I've seen people argue that also shouldn't be the case.
I just want Vergil to have more weapons & options alike & I also have found it ironic that both of his other halves put emphasis on sorcery/projectiles than the man himself. I'm still waiting for them to give him a broadsword when he was Nelo Angelo. I'm also cool with him to incorporate more moves from V & Urizen.
I'm not entirely sure what they can do with V's style since I know his playstyle meant to incredibly beginning friendly & they're trying to put emphasis on how weak he is. Which is amusing since the manga depict Nightmare to be crazy powerful. I do like everything you're suggesting, especially since V's familiars shouldn't have that problem anymore. The main issue being they're dead.
Re: last page
...Are men and women not allowed to be friends? Is there a time limit for how long they can know each other before they’re obligated to have tried something? I know people like the idea of them being together, and I see where they’re coming from, but I honestly find it kind of refreshing that they’re not.

Chun Li and Ryu were together in a couple of adaptations like the Malibu book.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Isn't that the one that got cancelled almost immediately because Capcom hated all the writing decisions? Canon is that Chun has no love interest, and neither does Ryu (but he does get tons of tease with Sakura).
Likewise, canon is that the only girl who liked Dante romantically was Lucia, and he rejected her.
If I'm being 100% honest here, that moment in the anime didn't really sound like Lady being a tsundere as so much as actual reasons why Lady never really bother trying to date Dante.
As good looking Dante is, I can't actually disagree that Lady has a point.
Yeah, even if you think a guy's hot and you've got some chemistry, nobody wants to be tied to someone so irresponsible (financially and otherwise).
Same. He’s a good guy and he’s extremely attractive, but I feel like actually dating him would require a lot of patience.
The impression I get from Lady is that she knows him a little too well. Might go both ways, honestly.

My take is that Lady and Dante have a casual relationship that satisfies their emotional (or physical) needs.
They're not setting down since both will undoubtedly see themselves dying fighting demons.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Ya know considering Dante has fully resolved his problems with his brother & whatever his issues were with his father, presumably this means his own problems might heal better overtime now.
At the very least hopefully Vergil will stick around & help him manage the business.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."If Visions of V is a canon representation of Vergil's competence at non-fighting matters, then he wouldn't be much help at running a business.
Nero gonna be the one supporting pops and uncle D.
Well at least they’ll be doing it together, that’s all that matters.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Given how V got the cash to pay Dante, I'm assuming that Vergil supported himself throughout the years through extralegal means too.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's canon that male Capcom protagonists have no idea what sex is, this is a fact.
On a serious tip; I find it so hilarious (and somewhat refreshing) that despite Dante's natural charisma and physical attractiveness, he's such an irresponsible mess of a person and his complete apathy for his livelihood, that it just cancels out any attractiveness he has.
Lady probably would be open to dating him if he actually took care of himself better, but she's not about to become his parent.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Which is pretty mature all things considered.
Sure Dante’s hot but there’s more to relationships than just physical appearances after all.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Eh, even if I admit it's non-canon, not all relationships have to be about building a life together.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.must be just the Main protagonist
Since Ken's gone from engaged to married with a kid
or to use DMC proper
Nero and Kyrie
Nero exists to prove Vergil 'fucking Vergil' can get laid.
fucking Agnus and Arkham can get laid over Dante
I suppose I'm talking more about the idea of V's style which doesn't need to bother with concepts like Like being dead
Then again since they go out of their way to say Demons are tribes now with Cerberus/ King Cerberus and then the Geryons
You could potential just have another Summoner style character Who just has a completely different Shadow and Griffon demons as pact partners... not nightmare though since the whole Demonic Bioweapon thing
Hell you could make the summoner have the actual Demon soul of Griffon who would act accordingly instead of Vergil's weird messed memory interpretation of him

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!I like to pretend Vergil actually found a way to save them based on his V ability. So I'm totally down for it.
Vergil had sex once and decided that he didn't like it
ED: Also, isn't it mentioned somewhere that Nero's mother was a prostitute?
Edited by asterism on Nov 26th 2020 at 5:05:06 PM
Heart of StoneIts assumed she was... since alot of the Kids at the orphanage Nero was at were either Prostitute Babies or Got knocked up and can't take of them cause i'm a teenager in a puritan society babies

I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Asura knows what sex is, since he has a kid, and Augus was his mentor.
Watch Symphogear
In the old anime ova at least, it's Guile who has more chemistry with Chun-Li.
Disgusted, but not surprised
