Looks like 4 or 5.
Vergil confirmed playable in the fifth installment of a Capcom series
I assure you that many people, not myself as I only really played 4 and 5 so I don't have the grounds for Vergil-love as some others, utterly hate you now.
plus 1 internet.

Never liked Vergil much either. Dante is the cooler of the two.
Any RWBY fans here might appreciate this. The comment chain that ensued is hilarious.
Yang is just Nero as a hot anime girl
Yeah, that◊ covers it◊.
That third picture proves that Woolie was right
Also are Yang and Blake actually dating?
There's not actually anything truly definitive on that subject yet. Reply hazy, ask next Volume.
That my friend is a fucking touchy-ass subject with no outright clear answer.
Also damn that's some lit art.

I've been saying it all this time, Yang should have gotten Devil Breakers in the show proper. Why weaken yourself by detatching your arm to escape when you can blow up a disposable one in your opponent's face and plug a new one in?
Appropriately enough, the guys who took Nero and Yang's arms, are kind of similar.
Also, try listening to the lyrics of Devil Trigger without thinking it applies so well to Yang.

@Jrads: Strongly hinted, not outright confirmed yet. Likely to be next volume.
Anybody else reading Visions of V?
I'm playing DMC 5 for the first today, finally haha.
I'm on the chapter just after you lose against urizen the 2nd time. While I like Nero's devil breakers, I just hate how they're implemented with being able to break off a hit and having to pick them up. Why couldn't we just choose a loadout and switch between them? This just seemed like such a clumsy way to do the breaker system and holds back Nero's gameplay from being as good as it could've been.
V's pretty easy to get through with, though admittedly he's quite strange to play compared to nero. He feels a lot less demanding and technical, and tBH not as deep, though I don't find him unenjoyable either. When you have all 3 pets on the field with a lot of enemies it can get pretty flashy looking and he can deal a lot of pain, but his gameplay doesn't feel as visceral as nero's at its best. The fight with eryon's rider was fun though.
Oddly artemis gave me some trouble, she took me about 3 tries to beat. I would dominate her 3/4s of the match but on that last 25% she gets MUCH harder as her open windows to attack her became far shorter and she's constantly on the offensive. She only became open during her big laser sweep move.
Nico's personality isn't bad, in fact I'll admit she's even pretty fun to watch with Nero but man I do NOT like her voice...it's soo offputting and sounds like the VA is overselling her. It's a shame but I feel like she was miscast.
However I gotta say...I still dislike Devil Trigger. It just sounds so lame and out of place for this series. It literally sounds like something from Sonic Forces. In fact that one mission I intentionally chose V over Nero so I wouldn't have to hear Devil Trigger...well joke's on me because the game used some utterly forgettable music track instead of either theme, something I'm NOT a fan of and it's happened I think twice now. I know people got tired of THE TIME HAS COME AND SO HAVE for like 95% of the mob fights in DMC 4 but I'd take that over blockbuster ambient boredom.
Making the Breaker system as it is was a conscious design chose in deliberate opposition to Dante's free-form weapon switching. They wanted a risk-reward component in it and it opens up the design space for much more powerful effects than would otherwise be readily available, such as Buster Arm and Ragtime's breakers. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it wasn't thrown in at random.
A intentional and deliberate choice, but no less a bad one IMO.
Also the normal enemies for this game are kinda dull so far. Truth be told only DMC 1 and DMC 4 were good in this regard and I consider it one of DMC 3's biggest weaknesses(lol chess pieces) but it sucks that DMC 5's aren't too interesting yet either. The deaths scissors look cool but they're kinda recycled from DMC 1 so that just hammers the point even more...in fact they're pretty annoying now haha.
I think the Devil Breaker limitation forces you to be more deliberate about loadouts and loadout orders. You have to think about what you can chain into what when doing combos. Plus it encourages you to learn how to use all the devil breakers because you very well could have to use any of them in a given fight. I think it fits thematically as well, with Nero being less experienced and wielding what is, at the best of times, experimental weaponry.
Can't really agree there either. For my money, 5 has far better enemies than 4 and 3 did, especially when you consider annoying shit like Blitz and Fausts.
5's enemies struck the right balance between being varied and not being too gimmicky for me. 4 really had some gimmick enemies, and they were designed for Nero's gimmick mechanic too, so they could be awkward to fight as Dante.
An incredibly stupid one at that.
Not at the moment, no.
Still no future DLC. How strange for Capcom to not milk this.
Yeah, the fandom's chomping at the bit for more content and it was fantastically successful. Unless the dev team's hard at work on another IP, not doing anything else with the game is a pretty dumb move.
