Wonder what weapon Trish would use. It'd be redundant to have her wield Sparda again like in DMC 2 since Dante actually uses Sparda in this game.

I suppose they could have her wield knives like Gloria in DMC 4 did. But then she'd be too much like Lucia. And I'd rather play Lucia in that case.

I mean, Trish in 4SE was mostly a brawler with lightning powers. Sparda was there as the style button, but it's main use was round trip setting the stage for mad combos, but you could work something else in its place.

One thing I want to see is a better designed DT for Trish. Kamiya has even suggested that what we've seen isn't her true Devil Trigger.

Having a yellow outline and sunglasses is a pretty bland DT.

There was an artwork by series concept artist Daigo Ikeno that showed Trish wielding Alastor◊ and I think that would be a perfect replacement for Sparda.

That's RAD. And yeah, doubling down on the electricity theme makes so much sense.

Ha! Maybe we could have her wielding Nevan! Assuming Dante hasn't sold her off.

That's what Dante does to his devil arms between games btw, he sells them to collectors to pay off the rent. I learned that from Pat's stream the other day.

Having her use older Devil Arms in general would be friggen rad. Like, give her Alastor, Nevan and Pandora.

That was mentioned in the DMC 4 novelization too, but apparently the V prequel LN outright canonized it. On one hand it's a really stupid thing to do, on the other hand it's something Dante would 100% totally do.

There's always Bloody Palace. I'm not going to miss him that much, myself. I certainly prefer being up close and personal, but then again, Nero and Dante can't conduct Ride of the Valkyries while doing sick combos in the background.

Yeah, that was my reaction too. "That's dumb" followed by "totally in-character though".

I like reading the book as much as possible. It feels closest to what would actually be happening.

It's also a very good idea to read if you can, just gameplay-wise in general.

Selling the Devil Arms kind of feels hurtful when you consider that these things are actually alive. Hope Dante at least made sure they were given to good owners. But it does make sense given his money problems.

Trish wielding Alastor makes sense. Though I can't help but feel there's this sense that she's once again getting something that used to belong to somebody else. Like everything about her from her face to weapons isn't really hers.

Heck, for all we know Mundus copied Alastor's lightning powers when he gave Trish her lightning abilities.

Dante has the Devils arms collected in one place

Enzo keeps them safe... and then one tried to eat him

Yeahs Dante uses them as collateral for his debts 'Well if he'd stop taking jobs for low prices or you know Steal the Demon's fat loot' but for the most part the Devil arms don't go anywhere and Dante pulls them out for other missions from time to time.

Any way, if they were to make a live action DMC movie or series, who would you guys want attached to it?

Me , I'd pick James Wan as a producer of a t.v. series because of his horror roots and he can do entertaining action movies as seen with Aquaman. I'd cast Ian Somerhalder as Dante, Katie Cassidy as Trish, Charles Melton as Nero and Chloe Bennet as Lady.

Yuji Shimomura and/or Ryuhei Kimura are musts. The former especially since he's been the action director for the series since 3, and many of the action movies they've directed have that over-the-top action flair to them. It'd also be cool if David Hayter was involved in someway so that we'd have a Power Ranger, a Metal Hero, and a Guyver involved with the franchise.

Definitely. But shows like GARO and movies directed by the guys I mentioned in my last post have proven that live-action can certainly be stylish as hell.

Who in the franchise played a Metal Hero?

I mean, I'd personally just get Reuben, Johnny and Daniel...

As their characters from the game? Because it's kinda hard to pass Reuben and Daniel off as twins. Or Johnny as young enough to be Daniel's son.
