Anyone have a specific character that scares and or disturbs you the most?

My Avatar should hint at one of them.

Since when were you under the impression that I was Aizen?

Yuno. But at the same time i think she's adorable.

I must have some weird Nightmare Fetishist thing going on, because i think Yandere characters, and characters like Fran up there are cute as hell.

Fran is cute, riiight up until she's elbow deep in some poor schmuck's organs, while said schmuck is unable to talk or move, and screaming in his/her head about how he/she doesn't want to be forcibly (and painfully) transformed into a hideous, shambling abomination. And she thinks she's doing good the whole time. Brrr.

I can't think of any character that disturbs or scares me.

Soul Taker.

Well, okay, it doesn't exactly 'disturb' me, but I get headache from plot and visuals. Especially visuals.

Upon closr reflection, I'd say that Mikuru Asahina (yes, that one) is pretty unsettling. Especially when you start wondering why the resident highly competent, ultra-advanced, and worryingly manipulative time-travelling civilisation sent an uber-passive moeblob to 'supervise' the local deity, and realise that none of the explanations can be good.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni — arc 5, Meakashi-hen.

Shion Sonozaki.

Sure, she is under the influence of the Hinamizawa syndrome and the horrible memories of what happened to her in episode 17... but that only makes her even more terrifying. Unlike the other crazy people in different arcs, she knows how to do what she wants and get away with it, even though the Hinamizawa syndrome is not good when it comes to thinking clearly.

"I can't think of any character that disturbs or scares me. "

In the world of anime and manga this is the case sadly.

^^ Involving a god independently-verified as such by at least two other organisations? I'm sort of doubting it.

There's pranks on the new girl, and then there's playing with antimatter.

Hmm. Well, the D-Reaper's pretty damn freaky, but a) I'm not sure if it counts as a character; and b) It'd be nice to come up with something from a more serious series than Digimon.

Well, Higurashi's Takano weirded me out from day one. Something about the way she keeps up a cheerful monotone while talking about a chain of murders unsettled me to no end. And then she turned out to be villain and proved I wasn't crazy to distrust her. Oddly enough, she didn't freak me out quite as much after that.

Takano weirded me out from day one.
Well, I wasn't weirded out too much until the big reveal that she is the villain because her cheerful monotone made her look as if she was perpetually stoned. After The Reveal she was really freaky... but the psycho!Shion from arc 5? Goddamn.

Honestly, I'm going to go with most of the characters from Higurashi when their turn comes around. There's something about their transition from sweetness to cold-blooded/psychotic that's just chilling.

Andrea Cavalcanti, in a good way. Madame Villefort counts as well, although she just genuinely freaks me out.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial
