Ah.
Well, I will still rein in my temptation to go overboard, since I can imagine how frustrating it must be to balance these encounters.
The amusing thing is that in one of the other RPs I'm in, I've ended up being hamstrung because my character is actually too weak to contribute anything meaningful to the party since almost everyone else has powers of some sort.
Adannor, to translate, the demons are replacing their lost bits with energy drawn from their hosts physical forms, damaging them, while the head guy is currently trying to blast you with hellfire.
EDIT: Lamret is probably the most broken character individually, but the Diplomatiker gets a special point for being able to summon a small army upon demand.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. If Lamret becomes a problem, I'll shout. For now just try to keep it within limits. The stuff the party is fighting warrants the big guns anyway, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm firing back this time.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. Its got to the point where I can't respond without leaving a thread hanging. We're officially waiting for Colonial.
Problem is those knights are due to hit allied ranks next turn; including the Diplomatikers guard. I can't advance the battle without that melee taking place.
Has anyone heard from him? He's suddenly disappeared.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Guys its late, I've got a day in the lab tomorrow and I'm down to 7 hours sleep maximum. Calling it a night.
I'm wondering what to do about Mostrue. May have to go for the knock-out option, unless Flanker trusts someone enough with the character.
Hellfire is nasty. Lamrets basically been partially immolated. Think of it as being hit by a high-end fire spell, only its got dark elements as well.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. Both Lamret and the knight subscribed to "offence is the best defence" school of thought.Didn't quite work
^But in this situation, dark element is less effective than simple fire - Lamret is a quasi-demonic being himself, he should be less susceptible to Hellfire than normal mortals.

I wasn't intending it to be fatal. I was intending it to have a high HP cost. Or in this case, the equivalent of a major wound. (Characters, by my reckoning, can generally take either four minor wounds or two major wounds. Physically tough characters like Kay or Richard can take more, the Bludgeon can take a lot more, and comparatively physically weak characters like Mostrue can probably take less. I'm open to negotiation.)
I'm not mean enough to cast anything that kills you outright unless its end-game or you do something really stupid.
EDIT: In case anyone was wondering, yes, I stole the wound system off Warhammer 40 K.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Try P Ming him, maybe find a way for him to get the Legion out of combat?
Knights have broken out of the caves, the Diplomatiker has gone... somewhere
and her guard is being charged, and the guard is cut off from the rest of the army, basically. Roxanne and the paladins are preparing to defend the rear of the army as the front battles revived mercenaries and mercenary undead in the centre, and more mercs and the light elves on the flanks. Army cohesion is moderate.
G Ms Tip.
The Knights of Azmodan are relentless, armoured, magically supported killing machines. Remember one of these guys was a boss back on the way into Trell. The only way to counter them is overwhelming, concentrated force in one direction from equivalent troops, such as the paladins... the whole of the paladins, or a similarly concentrated effort from the heroes. If you throw yourselves into this fight one at a time, you will be annihilated. Do not fritter away your forces.
EDIT: Also, this requires some explanation. The Diplomatiker has basically been flown away to another dimension. All will become plain. I was going to do this over PM with Colonial, but he preferred the open. I'll post what I sent to him first; you saw his first response.
(The Diplomatiker feels herself fall a short distance, dropping softly onto what appears to be thick grass. If she were to look up, she would see dense fog, obscuring what appear to be tree branches. The weather is unpleasantly moist.)

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Good thing there's ONE equivalent to them then...
Was it the sword-arm or the shield-arm that got hit?

Would've been the shield-arm. By the looks of things the Azmodanian knights are struggling to hit that thing.

^I was just going to ask how munchkiny Lamret was
