He wasn't just looking for numbers, he was deciphering how those undead work. Exactly what I'm trying to get from Mostrue now even though he doesn't know =)
Plans:
1)Tele-Frag the necromancer with a shrub.
2)Teleport in, drop a can of something nasty
, teleport out.
And for fun:
3)Create a Positive Space Wedgie - a hole to a plane of positive energy. Undead dies. Elementals unaffected. Diplomatiker is hurt but can be shielded. People have to pass by very fast or they get an overdose of life energy with bad consequences. Landscape in a few days will start to change into something overflowing with life. Not nice life.

Uhh... ok.
I think Colonial would be better qualified to comment on how necromancy in this setting actually works. As it is, I'd imagine it involves sticking a soul back inside a vessal. If its a freewilled undead, it must have been a powerful spirit that seized control itself, or a weaker one that has been released from its masters charge, but these are controlled undead, so presumably their master summoned the souls, stuck them in the bodies and dominated their will with his. If you can break the connection to the necromancer, hilarity will likely ensue, most likely involving the entire army degenerating into fighting itself.
Also, all good plans, though the Trellians are likely to take issue with 3.
EDIT: I've noticed that God of War is already screwing with the necromancers control. I also think that Flanker gave us a better idea of what would happen if the link between necromancer and undead suddenly shattered. Imagine a localised zombie apocalypse, only the zombies aren't above eating each others brains as well.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Anyone else think that hilarity will ensue in this battle?

The Total Party Kill comes later. I mean... might come later. If the party misses the mountain coming to life as the hordes bear down... I'm not helping my cause am I?

Kung Fu type of monk? Or Actual Pacifist type?
If Warrior Monk applies then you could wander into the battle (probably better into the next one) and show your capabilities. Or just be met on the road/in the next town after this warring is over.

Same thing Lamret found out. The army is facing a primarily necromancer force backed up by some elementals. 300 skeletal archers armed with short bows are backed up by 100 zombies in front of 300 skeletons sword and shield wielders in the centre. The flanks are screened by 50 skeletal cavalry on each side, and at the rear are 80 minor ground elementals and 19 larger ground elementals with the necromancer himself amongst the larger ones.
