People using the opinions of 1 or 2 japanese people that reviewed it as facts.
From what I've heard, it really is supposed to be So Okay, It's Average.
Nothing too surprising really, an entire VN route squeezed into 107 minutes? Supposedly, there is a lot of fighting and not much story. Basically from one fight into the next. Also, CG Dolphins.
Another criticism is that Shirou said his best line "King of Heroes, do you have enough weapons?" not like a slick motherfucker but in a hot-blooded way like your average shonen protagonist.
That's just what I heard and that's why people go "Lol you got DEEN'd, it sucks" or something.
CG Dolphins? Okay. I assume that's to cover the H-scenes. Wonder what they'll do in Heaven's Feel, assuming it gets made...
My troper wall's now my troper page, yay! Come to IJBMShirou should've delivered those lines in a better way.
@Smokie, re: Hayate No Gotoku: Yes, it's a spoiler. Although I wouldn't call Athena a troll. Something of note; she is voiced by Ayako Kawasumi, hence my personal nickname for her is Saber-tan.
My FF.net accountOn the subject of Bakemonogatari backdraft; Koyomis faults are greatly exaggerated. The worst he's ever done was accidentally feel up a twelve year old girl when they were fighting(since both of them were being childish).
I do get that it won't be a lot of people's thing since it is very slow and talky.
Oh another anime with an undeserved backdraft is Rah Xephon. It is not an Eva knockoff * damnit!
No.
K-On set up the record of selling the most Blu-Rays in it's opening week.
Bakemonogatari quickly broke that.
However, it also has the most DVD sales overall, of which K-On is only at 8th place or so. It even surpassed the Gundam series.
I have no idea where the sales are coming from, considering there's no superhype like, say, Haruhi or TTGL. Maybe it proves that something like that isn't needed.

Oh right, Bakemono did break that record for opening week sales.

My FF.net accountWell, part of the thing about Bake is that the episodes were aired half-finished or less, so watching the DVD version can be a completely different experience. Although I'm not sure how well that'd work out as a general business plan. "Let's intentionally make this worse to boost sales!"

Am I the only one who thinks that it isn't Kyo Ani's fault, as Four Chan and the rest of the internet think, but KADOKAWA's, for horribly putting forward the Endless Eight idea?
My FF.net accountAs far as Toradora goes, I ended up dropping it about halfway through. Apart from the protagonist, the characters either seemed generic and/or uninteresting (Taiga, Kitamura), inconsistently characterized (Minori), or just downright unlikable (Ami.) Ami was the biggest disappointment, honestly - I started watching having been assured that she made the show, and then she was just a frigid bitch with a Kawaiiko exterior. If they were setting her up for Character Development, they took way too long getting to it.

*stares*
*lols*
*feels bad for the blue-haired girl being apparently stuck as the Deadpool of her series*
*feels bad for the pinkette being dismissed by her so cruelly*
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!The main character guy from Saikano does slap the second love interest girl when she gets overly Tsundere in a bad situation.
This is something I can't get my head around, isn't Fate Stay Night really popular or something? couldn't they have made more movies? I mean, Kara no whatever got like seven.
And yes, RahXephon backdraft exists due to people considering it a ripoff of Eva. The approach that I have taken to this is to disregard the opinion because it shows a merely superficial viewing of the series, unsuited for such claims, it's wrong and fannish, but I don't care.
