Edit: oops. Yes, The Paladin is a superior title that fits with the established theme. We may want to apply the wet noodle to whoever launched without consulting the YKTTW though.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Oops, sorry, that was me. I didn't see any activity on the post for a good while, and I didn't see anyone going "Okay let's launch this", so I took the initiative and cleaned everything up (Including moving the work that previously occupied that space.) I mentioned on the YKTTW that I thought we were good for launching, but I understand if I dropped the ball there.
As for the rewrite, the article was kind of disjointed, in my opinion, and I just split it up into better paragraphs and moved things around so that it looked better, and parts that people contributed were in the same paragraph. I apologize if I caused offense!
Favorite TV Tropes Quote: "Going on a journey, I've got my cell if you need me."Hey Replis, you're safe from the noodle, you did the right thing by launching via the launch button on the YKTTW. Launching via the button has these benefits:
- The discussion is removed form YKTTW (avoiding duplicate launches)
- The pre-launch discusison is automatically linked from the new article's discussion page.
- The launch appears in the launch logs.
The problem article is Paladin which was created freestyle and didn't get those benefits. You had no way to know it had been made.
Given The Paladin has the better name in terms of our character-type naming scheme and was properly launched I say merge Paladin into The Paladin and pop Paladin onto the cutlist.

Thanks! I think we can close this now, I think that's all that was needed.

Someone just made The Paladin, when we already have Paladin from a YKTTW a few weeks back. The guy was obviously aware of either the article or the YKTTW, given that a number of the examples are lifted verbatim, so I have no idea why he decided to rewrite the entire main body from scratch, but there you have it. I don't really have a preference between using Paladin or The Paladin as the title, but either way, having duplicate articles seems pointless. The examples can be merged (if The Paladin actually has any that aren't already in Paladin, I didn't check them all), but which description should we use? I'd say the one from Paladin, but... well, I wrote it, so I'm not exactly an objective voice in the matter.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.
