ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOWell, I know you like Doctor Who... How about Torchwood?
oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘The quirky humor of the Myth Adventures series will probably be right up your alley. I knew I loved reading them when I was younger.
Full picture here.◊ Drawn by Saemus!^^ Everything I'm aware you like seem to come in the form of widgety cartoons/comics.
The closest thing I can think of to that is Yume Nikki. Go to!
^ All the books you enjoy seem to be dystopias or Crapsack Worlds. Ever read Mistborn? The first book resembles LesMiserables as a heist story in a fantasy setting...

Since you like Zeta Gundam, I'd recommend you to check out Turn A Gundam. Be aware that there's a lot of Genre-Busting in this one, as it isn't a conventional Real Robot series, but that's what makes it so great. Definitely a must-watch for any Gundam fan.
Since you liked Death Note, I'd recommend Kaiji. It also got lots of trilling mind games and high tension that will keep you at the edge of the seat on every single episode. And you know a series is badass when a it can turn a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors into an epic battle of ingenuity and deception.

"It's better to burn out... THAN TO FADE AWAY!"...Okay, that looks amazing. It also means I know exactly what to recommend to you: Liar Game. It's a game where you lie... like a Magnificent Bastard.

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOHmmm...since you mentioned in your favorite tropes section that you like Psychological Horror and Mind Screws, might I suggest Paranoia Agent? It's a bit episodic, focusing on several different characters, but the overall story is still pretty solid and it's a gorgeous series on top of being a well-written one.

Current project: Cleaning up the Chrono Crusade examples one at a time. God help me.Hrm. It seems that there are an eclectic bunch of works that you like. A lot of them are combinations of drama and comedy, and some of them involve time travel.
...since you don't mention it anywhere on your page, I'm pimping Doctor Who. I didn't watch it until this year (due to a combination of Hype Aversion and apathy), but it was one of the best descisions I have ever made.
~PirkaYeah, eclectic's a good way to put it. XD Thanks a bunch for the rec! I've been considering starting Doctor Who but, like you, I might have a bit of Hype Aversion to it. I really should check it out...would you suggest starting with the 10th doctor? I'm guessing that if I tried to start with the first one my head might explode.
As for a rec for you...well, since you mentioned you've been watching Panty and Stocking and liked it, maybe Nerima Daikon Brothers? I've only seen clips of Panty and Stocking before, but from what I've seen the humor of the two shows might be pretty similar.
Current project: Cleaning up the Chrono Crusade examples one at a time. God help me.
Start from the 9th Doctor, i.e. the start of New Who. That's what I did, at least. The 9th Doctor is debatably the worst of the 'new' Doctors, but some of his episodes are amazingly good (not to mention mind-screwy).
Oooh, Nerima Daikon Brothers! Yet another show I've been planning to watch for forever. Mostly due to its connection to Excel Saga.
~Pirka Watch Baccano! Everyone should watch Baccano! I kind of think you might enjoy Read Or Die...

I've seen Paranoia Agent. It had its good parts, but I didn't think it really ended well. I like Mind Screw, not Giant Space Blob Of Hungry Black Paint That Wouldn't Even Make A Good Eldritch Abomination (breathe!) From Nowhere...
There's also a fairly high level of continuity between seasons - Series 2 and 3 rely on knowing the histories of Rose and Mickey, Series 4 starts out by introducing a companion from one of the Christmas specials and has a callback to every previous series by the time it ends, Series 5 doesn't make complete sense unless you've seen "Silence in the Library", "The Next Doctor", and "Blink"... So, save yourself the headache and start with Series 1!
For the sake of bumping this, I'm going to stand in for Frodo Goofball and recommend myself Larry Niven's The Integral Trees.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOIf you can mind the Paranoia Fuel, I'd recommend Uzumaki to you.

Shutdown sequence initiated.Hmmmmmmm... I'm almost in blank on this case. Maybe you could give Macross Frontier a try; one of the supporting characters is a giant girl in love with regular sized guy or something. (I'm not sure, because I still need to watch that one)
@Noaqiyeum: Liar Game... I've actually had that one on my to-read-list for a fair share of time, so I guess I will start reading it as soon as got a chance. Thanks for the reminder!

"It's better to burn out... THAN TO FADE AWAY!"Well, good. Because it's awesome.
Have you seen The Thing? Paranoia Fuel and Body Horror galore.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOMan, you like The Thing! Beast! My dad swears by the original from The '50s for some fucked up reason; I don't know...
If you like The Thing though, I'd definitely recommend another one of John Carpenter's films, In The Mouth Of Madness. If you haven't seen that already, I'm sure you'd get a kick out of it. Very Lovecraftian... and very much a total Mind Screw.
Liked The Thing? The only thing that kept me from watching it straight through, at night, was that I got hungry in the middle of the defibrillator scene.
In The Mouth Of Madness has been on my list for a while, but I haven't actually gotten around to it yet, so it's good to hear another favorable review!
Hmmm... Have you read Lovecraft Is Missing? Not much of a Mind Screw (yet), but the art, story, and atmosphere are superb.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOIf you're looking for a little more balls-to-the-wall action and vague Captain Ersatzes of David Bowie in horror detective stories, I'd love to suggest Caballistics, Inc.
Really interesting character backstories and development, too. Unfortunately, the second paperback trade volume was published just a few months before the concluding story arc was published... so it comes to us now with an unresolved cliffhanger (for now, anyway), and that's annoying.

For the purposes of rebooting this thread - have you read Axe Cop? Probably so, it's crossed over with Dr Mc Ninja, but still...

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOHmmmmm.... If you like High Octane Nightmare Fuel, then the Penumbra games might interest you.
Shutdown sequence initiated. If you like Metal Gear, you'll probably like Snatcher - it's a Hideo Kojima Leaning on the Fourth Wall game somewhere between Adventure Game and Visual Novel, with some Rail Shooter bits in the middle, too.
Good luck finding it, tho.

But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.If you like TriGun you might like BlazBlue. It's a Fighting Game from the same people as the Guilty Gear series that takes a lot of inspiration from it.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerWe got a Matrix (original film only) fan here, eh?
Hmmmm... how about... you watch... The Truman Show. Yeah. Or Johnny Mnemonic. They're both comedies... only the fist one is intentionally funny.

Play Terranigma. Go download some ROM and start playing it. It will enhance your life.
I can't stop listening to this
