Scott stared at Milton, trying to understand his cousin's words. "I'm going to ask you to back up for a moment, Milt," He said, his panic growing bit by bit, "We've been gone for how long?"

"A week! What happened, and... is that ash?" Milton knelt down to the ash ring Uria had left and picked out the two Exodia cards from within. "What's this? What's going on?"

Titano leaned in, snarling.

"Hey Milt... How about you look around for a second... See anyone missing from this picture? Maybe think the empty outfits are a little weird? Or do you just not give a shit about who we lost?"

Milton felt a great feeling of dread, but didn't react to Titano directly.

"Guys, what's going on?"

Didn't he ask about where people went a bit before anyway? And I'd say he's trying to be a bit positive, especially since his cousin was finally found.

"Milt, I'm afraid this is bigger than we'd all like to think," Scott said, slowly, trying to find the right words, "But right now, we need to see Cyrus." He thought it odd when Milt didn't react to Titano, but remembered Milt couldn't see spirits.

"Okay, I'll get you guys to Cyrus, that should be easy, but..." He held up the Exodia piece again. "What's with this? Exodia cards are rare on their own, but this one feels... different. Like it's reacting to something."

Sean was still trying to piece what was going on together. Some fellow that resembled Scott had arrived and was holding a card in his hand. Exodia, the Forbidden One. Something seemed to draw the Obelisk's attention to his right pocket. He pulled out his own piece of Exodia.

Something is wrong...

"Exodia..." Scott repeated, looking down at the ash. "I got one, too. It's a long story. Whatever's going on, though, we'll need to get out of here. It feels... ominous."

Scott sent Titano a look, a raging fire behind his eyes. No, this wasn't just anger-fueled rage. This was a burning hate, one that would last far longer than the transitory anger and adrenaline-high he was experiencing. It was a targeted fire, one that wasn't soon going out, being fueled by injustice and loathing.

And if Titano didn't see that, then he'd find out later, when he hadn't disappeared.

Beside Michael, a single red orb flew up from out of his side deck and hung at roughly head height, before flowing outward to form the see-through shape of a mage in red armour. His feet hung several inches over the floor and his staff was in the shape of a crescent.

The Dark Red Enchanter raised his head from a bowed position, before moving it around in confusion. "What? I'm... but I haven't been returned to her yet. Why is..."

Realisation dawned, and he moved over to the crumpled heap of bloodstained clothes with two large gashes in it that lay opposite where Anna had awoken. The mage fell to his knees and let his staff clatter to the ground, reaching out to have his hand pass uselessly through the red jacket. "Tsuki..."

His armoured head bowed, and he silently mourned the girl who had held his card for such a short time.

Michael just stared at Milton's entrance. A week? There's no way that's right.

And then Dark Red Enchanter appeared, Michael had almost forgotten he'd had the card with him. He walked over to the spirit and tried to place a hand on his shoulder. "She...umm...I'm sorry."

Michael glanced down at Tsuki's uniform, averting his gaze after a moment. What the hell happened? I heard what Anna said but....this is just...this is unforgivable.

Dark Red Enchanter sensed rather than physically felt Michael's hand, and took a deep breath, visible only in the movement of his torso under the armour, before rising again.

His hand opened and the staff lifted off the ground and floated into his hand, and he raised it to head height and let a small shower of red sparkles fall over Tsuki's clothing. "The dead must be given their due," he murmured, though a hint of sorrow was in his steady tone. "So that the living can have peace of mind and hearts free of guilt. For whatever you died, I trust it was for a good cause, Sazarame."

"...Do you know what caused it?", he asked with a low voice.

Michael replied, his anger at Tsuki's killer quite obvious in the way he uttered the name, "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms. From what I've been told he possessed her and she..." his voice trailed off, "She sacrificed her life to stop him."

Titano wasn't afraid, but had the good sense to look ashamed.

"...You didn't deserve that... I guess it's just... It's somethin' me an' Jerry used to talk about, about you... He was nevr sure you had what it takes... I guess I still ain't sure. But I know him... And I can tell you this much... When you killed him? He was probably proud of you."

Scott nodded slowly, subtly, so as not to alert his cousin, who was still standing there. He made a quick eye movement to his cousin, hopefully one that Titano noticed, to try and explain why he wasn't directly interacting with the ancient spirit.

"We need to call Cyrus and tell him what's going on. If the police need to know, he'll get it all sorted out," The younger Harold told the older, his faith in his headmaster seemingly absolute.

The mage stepped back, obviously surprised. Tsuki had used a Dark-type deck after leaving him behind, and Anna was most definitely not the kind of person the mage would have pegged for using Raviel, which left the answer to who had used him clear. "A Sacred Beast? She managed to drive away Raviel?"

His head turned back to the heap of bloody clothing. "I must say that I am... surprised. Humans—" He stopped, and turned to Michael. "I mean no offense, truly, but I thought that only certain people who had experience with high-ranking Spirits could muster the will to stand up to cards like him. The power of humans who have taken a stand must not be underestimated."

The Enchanter's head turned up, and he seemed to be looking into the distance beyond the domed ceiling of the stadium. "Raviel must have threatened something that was worth more to her than her own life, for her to do that," he mused slowly.

He shook his head. "...I apologise. Now is not the time for this. If Raviel attacked this group of people, then it must be assumed that he or the other Sacred Beasts have other servants who intend to either capture or kill you." The mage raised a fist sheathed in armour, cleching it. "I will likely not be able to help much against one such as Raviel, with my low power, but... If you will accept my aid, then you have it. If my once-user can stand up to a Sacred Beast with the willingness to accept death in exchange for victory..."

The orb at the centre of the staff seemed to glow more brightly, and Enchanter's voice seemed to echo slightly as he drew himself up, full of conviction. "Then there is no reason for me not to be able to do the same," he finished grimly.

"Yeah, she drove him out. She really wasn't as ordinary as she thought." Michael responded. "No offense taken, and he was threatening-" Michael trailed off again, his gaze shifting over to Anna. He remembered back to the chat he and Tsuki had during Anna and Ryu's match.

"He threatened something really important to her."

He looked back to Dark Red, "Well, Uria was here...but he retreated. If you're offering to help then I don't think we're in any position to turn you down."

The Enchanter followed Michael's gaze. "...Friendship is indeed a powerful cause to devote yourself to. Although I suppose the stories of the legendary duelists have told you that a hundred times over," he added humourlessly.

His voice seemed to turn relieved, as if thankful for being allowed to act. "Thank you. I swear that I will do everything possible in my power to fight with you. Although... I no longer have a host, and you already possess a Duel Spirit, so what power I have will be further diminished. Still, needs must."

The mage rose up slightly, floating over to the ashen circle Uria had left behind and examining it critically. His palm raised and he murmured a few words, and a faint light wrote a handful of arcane symbols in the air. The burning letters winked out one by one, each one disappearing in a different manner.

"...All I can tell you for the moment are things you likely already know: that this was Uria, that he is gone, and that he possesses a human host. Perhaps I could learn more with more time, but I would only be able to tell you a rough idea of the appearance of the host, and perhaps the kind of deck he uses. Such things affect how each Sacred Card leaves a trail, but if you know him already, then I doubt my usefulness here." He rose again.

"In any case, I believe it would be the best for us to gain as much information about the changes recent events have caused first before informing someone with the knowledge, the incentive and the ability to affect the situation. Do you know anyone like that?", the Enchanter asked of Michael, unaware that despite his lack of raw power, he was still very much visible and audible to all sensitives in the building.

Titano snorted, clearly irate, and glared at Milton.

"Scotty, I'm not so sure about Milt over there. Even if all he's doin' is takin' our word for it on the Exodia cards... How's he gonna get rid of 'em? We gotta keep him form screwin' this up..."

When nobody moved to check Barnaby's clothes for a phone, Milton moved over from his kneeling over the ashes to ruffle through the clothes. For a split second, his eyes widened, before pulling out a tiny, old-model cell phone.

"No touch screen? Does this thing even make calls? Anyway," he said as he stood up, brandishing Barnaby's pistol and backing up from the kids, "you can lay the Exodia pieces on the ground and back away now."

Ancient plot point ahoy! Yes, Barnaby has a gun, which he last used in the Abandoned Dorm last RP. It should logically follow Cyrus told him to keep it on him, especially off the island when he was the only adult around and shit gets real over card games in this universe.

For the record, Scott doesn't have his piece with him. It was in the ashes, along with Johnny's piece, 'cause Johnny/Uria was holding it when he disappeared.

"Wait, what?!" Scott said, his voice full of shock and disbelief. Of all the things to happen to him, of all the twisted and card-related things to happen, this was the one thing he hadn't expected. And he was frozen in confusion.

The white-haired girl's eyes widened, and as Milton swept the gun around to cover them, it seemed to stare down at her like a malevolent eye choosing its next victim. Like Raviel had...

Her hand went to her mouth and another wave of revulsion went over her, despite her best efforts to restrain herself, and she could feel the barrel pointing at her.

Did I escape one death to face another?

The hand covering her mouth shivered, but not with fear. Rather with rage. She was the sister of Blake, and anyone willing to pull a gun on her was someone who knew what hells awaited them if they pulled the trigger. Reinforced by that knowledge, she rose to her feet and stared down Milton as he coldly raised the pistol in her direction again.

"You... traitor," she spat, the bile hiding in her throat giving her tone added venom. "Do you have no idea how faithful the Sacred Beasts are going to be to the promises they make? Have you really never read a story about a man making a deal with demons?"

Her eyes shone with disgust, and the anger and dismay her compatriots felt fed her own. Tsuki had not given herself up for this purpose, had not given her life for Anna to die by some low-life's trigger finger. "You will get this card over my dead body. Let's see how my brother will deal with you then."

Milton's gun hovered towards her, but did not linger. "Sorry, little princess. But your brother's little playmates don't compare to the guys I work with. And spirits don't bother me all that much, actually. You see, I can see Chompy the Wonder Dino right there. But even if he could physically manifest, he couldn't touch me- no spirit can. It has to do with something performed in a lab, years ago, with my spirit, the Stardust Dragon. Come on out, little friend."

Retconning earlier post to say he picked both up, then.
