Avrei un suggerimento da fare: It/Prototropo si riferisce al primissimo esempio di un tropo. Ma letteralmente significa il primissimo tropo. non sarebbe meglio sostituirlo con protoesempio?

Planning to translate a trope I created, A Fistful of Rehashes, into Italian. Honestly, though, I'm kind of new to the trope translation game. Could anyone please show me the ropes?

Here's a YKTTW (translated from an English-language YKTTW) which I created so I could train myself in the art of trope translation. Any help from you guys (especially in the porting of examples from the English original–known as Erostratic Infamy Seeker as of writing, though that may change in the near future) would be appreciated. Thanks!

Regolatore Di Barriere (Hedge Trimmer) suona un po' stupido, propongo "Potatore di Siepi". Grazie—

Regolatore Di Barriere è grossamente sbagliato. Quel tropo tratta di un certo atteggiamento di editori di TV Tropes, non di barriere.

I would guess that Regolatore Di Siep is better than Potatore Di Siep, since it is about an atteggiamento, non di siep.

Hmm... I'm Italian, and I could help with this. Could I ask you guys if there's something I should know before beginning? Can I just start translating trope pages? If I have a proposal for a new translation for a trope name, do I just write it in this topic?

Well, I just went and created an Italian page (the Italian version of Shut Up, Hannibal!, called Stai Zitto Hannibal). I'm not sure how I should go about indexing it, though... any suggestion? :/

Also, I found several tropes in the Shut Up, Hannibal! page that don't have an Italian translation in the Elenco Provvisorio yet. Do I just propose translations here?

Done the Final Battle -> Scontro Finale translation. Again, I have a couple proposal for the tropes that didn't have translations in the Elenco Provvisorio.

Climactic Battle Resurrection -> "Resurrezione Pre-Battaglia Importante"

Mêlée à Trois -> unchanged (it's French :P )

Space Battle -> "Battaglia spaziale"

EDIT: Also, in my opinion the trope Scena Del Combattimento should be "Scena Di Combattimento", which is more correct in Italian. Is there some sort of procedure I have to follow to propose this change? °°

Aand another post. Scontro Finale should be in the Tropi Avventurosi index, in the Tropi Della Fine index and in the Scena Del Combattimento (or Scena Di Combattimento if my proposed change is OK) index. None of them exists yet, and I remember only moderators can create new indexes...?

EDIT: Other ideas and snippets that are coming to my mind as I translate...

Discorso "Il Motivo Per Cui Fai Schifo" is a bit... unnatural. I would rename it as simply "Ecco perchè fai schifo" or "Ti Spiego Perchè Fai Schifo".

"Sudorazione perpetua" is wrong. It means "always sweating", which has nothing to do with Perp Sweating as I understand it...? I'd suggest "Far Sudare L'Indiziato".

Sherlock Scan has no translation. Should we leave it untranslated?

Awesomeness by Analysis has no translation. I'd suggest "Capacità Di Analisi Fighissima".

Talking the Monster to Death has no translation. I'd suggest "Uccidere Il Mostro A Parole".

Weapons-Grade Vocabulary has no translation. I'd suggest... "Parole Che Uccidono"?

Verbal Judo has no translation. I suggest a simple "Judo Verbale".

I finished Distruggili Parlando, but I can't see the Italian version of the index used by the original Break Them by Talking page...

Man Bites Man has no translation. I suggest "Uomo Morde Uomo".

Highly-Visible Ninja has no translation. I suggest "Ninja Facilmente Individuabile".

Confusion Fu has no translation. It could stay untranslated, or become "Confusione Fu"...?

Your Terrorists Are Our Freedom Fighters has no translation. I suggest "I Vostri Terroristi Sono La Nostra Resistenza".

Suggestion: No, Mr. Bond, I Expect You to Dine would sound better as "No, Mr Bond, Io La Aspetto Per Cena".

Media Watchdogs has no translation. I suggest "Cani Da Guardia Dei Media".

Nerds Are Virgins has no translation. I suggest "I Nerd Sono Vergini".

Shell-Shocked Veteran has no translation. I suggest "Veterano Traumatizzato".

All-Loving Hero has no translation. I suggest "Eroe Onniamante" or, if that's too punny, "Campione Di Benevolenza".

Le regole di Niente Esempi Della Vita Reale, Per Favore! sono stati cambiata. Adesso, si può aggiungere riferimenti attribubibile a persone o cose della vita reale, perche si pensava che il formato vecchio non permetteva nessun acceni a qualcuno tema controverso.
