8/10. Amazing musician. Certainly one of the best of his generation.
Now, should I go for a metal band, or not? Let me see... you know, I think I'll compromise. If it counts as a compromise. Two bands, one metal, one not metal. You can choose one or both, I don't mind.
The metal band: Primus. The non-metal band: Reel Big Fish.
last.fm | RYM7/10. I don't know if we've already done Kraftwerk, sorry, so I'll rate them anyway. While I'm not an absolutely huge fan, I enjoy their music and find it sad that they're not more well-recognised; hell, they're one of the most influential bands of the past 30 years. Without them, we wouldn't have much in the way of electronic music (yes, it existed before; but Kraftwerk made it popular).
Now, should I assimilate the thread into the Metal Collective again? Screw it: Tool.
last.fm | RYM9/10. Really awesome band. Although I prefer their earlier stuff, I like their later stuff too. Except for St. Anger.
Time for even more flame bait (and, it seems, more metal)! Megadeth. They've already been mentioned in the thread. I don't care.
last.fm | RYM17/20 Also awesome, though the line-up changes can be grating. Also, Risk never existed.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.6//10 I like some of their stuff, but I don't think they're as great as some people do.
Gaelic Storm.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."6/10 They're really fun, although I'm not sure about the actual quality.

"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."7/10. Although I'm not that fussed on the music itself, they get kudos for sheer originality.
This one may cause Internet Backdraft (or not, because that stuff never happens on TV Tropes, unfortunately): Nirvana.
last.fm | RYM5/10 I don't think they're horrible, but I would rather not listen to them than I would listen to them.

7/10. I'm amazed that someone's posted a band/artist from before the mid-fifties.
Anthrax. Aha! You cannot kill the metal! The metal will live on!
