I had a crazy idea about how a Mega Man block would actually work: like Time Spiral.
- All sets are theoretically during the Mega Man X period.
- First set has classic Mega Man characters in "past" card frames, like Uncle Istvan
.
- Second set has alternate continuities - TV shows, webcomics, The Protomen, anything - in planeshifted cards.
- Third set has Mega Man Zero characters in futureshifted frames.
And in that vein, you'll just have to imagine the future frame for this one.
Zero, Ruthless Warrior (3RR)
Legendary Artifact Creature - Warrior
3/3
R: Zero gets +1/+0 until end of turn.
S: Zero becomes snow in addition to its other types until end of turn.
R: Zero gains first strike until end of turn.
I never cared about justice and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate...If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!
Edited because why did I give him first strike twice.

Another card of mine that did well in a card-making game. The criterion for that round was a card with converted mana cost four or less that could help one survive against a dragon.
Mirror Shield 4
Artifact - Equipment
If a creature would deal damage to equipped creature, it deals that much damage to itself instead.
If a spell would deal damage to equipped creature, it deals that much damage to its controller instead.
Equip 3
Planescape Hijack
Skeptic Extraordinaire
1WU
Creature - Human Advisor
Protection from Spells
Tap: Any number of target creatures lose shroud until end of turn.
2/2
But as you can see, it's just a trick of the light. Therefore definitively proving there is no such thing as magic.

I guess it is.
Planescape Hijack
Maybe I did that in too roundabout a way, or maybe it would be more obvious when M12 is actually out, but: you know how Goatnapper
is actually about hosing Changelings instead of goats? It's like that, but with Illusions instead. The guy thinks he's doing one thing, peeling back the veil of mystery or whatever, revealing magic as a fake (which is, of course, impossible in a game called Magic, hence the ability that can't do what it's trying to do), but instead he's just killing a bunch of things he doesn't even acknowledge as a threat.
Teran Rhoj 2BB
Planeswalker - Teran
+1: You lose 1 life and draw a card.
-X: Target player loses X+2 life.
-2: All creatures get -2/-2 until end of turn.

Each night, he abandons the trappings of civilization. Each morning, he repairs the front door.@Kyler Thatch: Yep. I'm not sure if it's too powerful, but at X+1 you get equivalent lethality out of using his +1 every turn and then using his -X, and you also get a bunch of cards.
Although you could change it to "-X: Each opponent loses X life. You gain life equal to the life lost his way." but I think that would be poaching Sorin's conceptual space too much.

I turned Blue-Eyes White Dragon
into a Magic card.
◊
For the CMC I used the number of little star-orb things at the top of the Yugioh card, dunno what those were for but 8 is about right I think. I made it white because the original has the Light attribute, whatever that means. For power and toughness I took the Yugioh card's attack and defense divided by 200, rounded down. The flavor text was stolen verbatim.
Bluh, I just realized I fucked up — should be rare or mythic but it's a common. =/
Whatever. That was fun to do. Now I sleep.
