Furtherwise, mostly it seems like mentally the Narutaki twins are their apparent biological age rather than their chronological age.
Eh, back then it was far more tolerable since around that time the story was supposed to be a silly comedy for the most part. It's only later that kind of stuff becomes jarring and out of place, without spoiling too much.

Strictly speaking, the ones that actually want to be in a relationship with Negi can be counted on one hand, and this is still further off after Kyoto. As for the rest...yeah, I can actually see it happening. Maybe more in the vein of "Let's torment the poor ten year old" variety then what 3-A went for, but there ya have it. He's lucky the girls are mostly well behaved, if hyperactive.

Kissing him on the lips was where I thought "yeah, this is definitely not just how they'd treat a cute ten-year-old, or tease him". That was where things got a lot less believable for me.
I have finished Kyoto now. I appreciate using spoiler tags for me, I should be able to advance pretty quickly given that I only started yesterday afternoon.
The first few chapters had some good comedy, but it looks like Kyoto is where things really start to get serious. I like the explanations we're getting for ki, mana and contract magic so far.

Basically, we know jack about what their relationship is, and what makes them what they are.
