"To tell you the truth, that outburst wasn't half as strange as the other things that have happened today," said Hanako, cheerfully. Besides, I'd like to find out what exactly caused it, she added mentally.

Nakajima lept off the rooftop and into an alleyway, managing her fall with a roll. She was rather glad for the glimmmer, now. While the clothing she was wearing was necessary, the skirt was uncomfortably short. She didn't want to be seen a skirt this short. She continued down the empty alleyway, until a dark pool caught her attention. She haulted.
Out of the pool, a pair of arms emerged. They pushed up, revealing a twitching, dark mass beneath them. A white, smiling mask floated up the creature's black, transluecent body, and settled between its first pair of arms. The thing had no head. Twitching and gibbering, it revealed itself as a mass of gelatainous black fluid and limbs. It lurched out of the black pool and made its way towards Nakajima.
The Librarian was unfased. She reached into a pocket on the inside of her cloak and produced a small silver rod from it. In an instant, the rod had extended both ways into a silver staff. The staff itself was complete with an elaborate stars-and-moons topper. In the other hand, Nakajima held three knives between her fingers. The wind blew her dark blue hair out of her eyes, and the creature drew ever closer.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up.""Eh, can't be anything too weird," said Akio, dismissively. "This isn't some anime with crazy monsters and magic ninjas or artificial intelligences or anything like that. I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation."
Hanako shrugged, again making the gesteur somehow energetic. "Who knows?"

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Maki not wanting to lose her new friends didn't point out the fact that she actually invented an artificial intelligence once....
"Yes no A I whatsoever," said Maki quickly but looking shifty as she said so.
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends.""Uh... right," said Akio, looking at the rather shifty expression on Maki's face with confusion.
Weird. Ah, whatever.
Hanako walked up past Maki, lightly brushing against her before standing by the door.
"Did they just forget about our class or something? This is weird," she remarked.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up.""Speaking of which, Koari, and Yoko still haven't come back into the classroom," Akio began, before pausing. He didn't want to continue on that tangent. He might come too close to revealing Koari's emotions. While she never actually said she didn't want them revealed, there had to be some reason she always spoke in monotone.
Hanako turned around. She yawned, and stretched. "This period feels like its been going on for days,"

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Hanako looked around. She wanted to do... something. Anything. After all the excitment and weirdness from before, boredom was starting to set in. She wanted a teacher to come by so they could just get going with the stupid class.
"Maki, do you have anything we can do while we're waiting for a teacher? I'd ask Akio, but he never packs any games or anything," said Hanako.
Akio briefly took an aside glance out the window, and for a moment, froze.
There was a shape... a shape that definantly wasn't human, but definantly wasn't some sort of animal, moving rapidly across the grounds outside. It vanished before he could really discern what it was.
Probably just my imagination... can't have been anything...

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Akio walked towards the window, and looked out. Sure enough, there was nothing there.
"What is is, Akio?" asked Hanako, making her way towards the window and looking out as well.
"Nothing. I thought I saw something out there for a minute," replied Akio.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."The arms lashed forward. Nakajima threw her knives, and they sliced through the gelatainous flesh with ease. The arm she had struck dropped, and splattered on the ground in a shower of black ooze.
However, she was now only with her staff. Further limbs lashed towards her, and she held her staff out in front of her. A blinding light shot from it, obliterating the creature's forward most limbs.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."((OOC: sorry...))
Kiaku continued riding his bug, heading for the place where the librarian was fighting the youkai. As he watched the fight happening, the young cult leader smirked, "I suppose sending that one here was a bad idea, but...insofar, everything has gone according to plan. Now all I need is for Margurz to enter the stage..."

"I realise now that my bizarre behaviour is why everyone kept avoiding me in this school. I am tired of being on my own. I just want some friends," said Maki there were small tears forming round her eyes.
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."
