^ Nope. It's actually not by the definition. It's about feral children. Not children raised by animals.

A child who was literally raised by animals is one type of feral child.

It is, but it's not the only thing covered by that trope. And not all children raised by animals in media are feral.

No, it's not the only thing that's covered by Wild Child, but right now, it is covered by Wild Child. Whether to split "children literally raised by animals (or other non-humans)" off and call it Raised by Wolves is a topic for another thread.

Should we split Wild Child then? Seeing as it's covering two different tropes that don't always over lap.

So will this thread be renamed?

[up] You mean the trope? If the move is not done by tomorow (I need sleep) I will do it myself.

I did the move, but there's a TON of wicks. I turned the old title to a redirect, but seeing as alot of these wicks are bad, it would take a group effort to go through all 700+ of them.

EDIT: Will clear all the bad example of the main page tomorow.

Could we leave the thread open until they are all done? Sometimes we close up shop and all that has been done is moving the page itself — moving the page can be a very small part of the total job. It's good to have somewhere to track progress/ask for help.

I agree. Especially since in this case, cleaning the wicks is going to need to be done due to the severe amount of misuse

A crowner run when fixing up Wild Child (thread) not to include children literally raised by animals had the outcome of using Raised by Wolves as the name for the new trope article covering animal parents. I have to mention it here to avoid confusion.

The good news is that it helps a lot in cleaning up the wicks for No Social Skills — as pointed way back in the original posting people were often using Raised by Wolves to mean animal parents: hundreds of wicks are now accurate without having to be changed.

At this point having two threads is probably more confusing than helpful — perhaps one of them should be locked now.

I think I'm going to lock this one. The only reason it was left open was for updates on wick-cleaning.
