Taro sighed. "You're dodging the subject. What did they tell you, exactly?" He said, obvious in his disbelief.
Hey! Read my fanfic: Here"Like I said. Apparently, they're..." Think Seto, think... Wait! Didn't she say something about how much strength was need to do the injuries? Yeah! And nosy as these two can be, bless their souls, they'd have been listening... "They're worried about how strong the guy has to be- After all, they... Did what they did." He shivered at the memory. "And since Himiko was one of the best of them at fighting, they... Decided that I should, I don't know, take her place. I guess they think I could help?" He shrugged helplessly, communicating his real confusion.
Violet blinked but kept her face blank. "That was all? It didn't happen to involve your little runabout in the forest this morning?"
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOSeto flushed hotly. "It wasn't my fault!" He stopped, embarassed. Err.. "T-they didn't chew me out." He tried to inject his normal false bravado into it. Hopefully, it would make them think he was covering up being scolded by acting like they'd needed his help.
He might have planned it to be that. Maybe.
Violet smiled to herself. That was more or less what she had thought. Hoped. Suspected. Something like that. She really wanted to be able to trust him, especially after having promised Taro... but it was absolutely vital that none of the counselors interfere with the plan, and if the meeting meant that Seto was likely to tell them then it was equally vital that he not find out either.
Her forehead crinkled and her jaw tensed, and she glanced surreptitiously at Taro. Unless he had any better ideas...

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOTaro looked back at Violet, a twinkle of stubbornness in his eye. If Seto was hiding anything, they'd find out soon enough. And if he didn't, they'd make him swear his life that he wouldn't let on about their plan. He meant business.
"Seto, we can trust you, right?" He asked, casually, as if the thought had just crept into his head. He was making a segue into something...
Hey! Read my fanfic: HereTaro smirked. That's exactly what we think... He thought, but he didn't say it out loud. "And you trust us, right?" A dangerous question, for sure...
Hey! Read my fanfic: Here...Okay, that was somewhat less tactful than she had been thinking, but, okay. Violet finally let her jaw relax.
"Good, because you're the only other person in camp that Taro and I both trust." She glanced at Logan, near the altar, then at the cabins, and lowered her voice. "We were in the middle of discussing plans when you came out, and I'd like to continue someplace where we won't be interrupted or overheard. Do either of you object to one of the cabin lobbies? Any one of ours would do, I think... unless either of you still have other occupants you're sharing with?"

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NO"Megumi is in cabin one with me, so she might interrupt," Taro said, nodding, "I say we stick to your cabin, then, Violet."
Hey! Read my fanfic: HereViolet nodded, glanced at Logan again, and then sent her gaze darting about for anyone else as she gestured them to follow.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOThe artist smiled enigmatically, admiring his own skill as his fingers lightly traced across the surface of the sketchbook. The multiple light sources had made the shading quite a pain, but the finished product looked just perfect. Shifting his gaze from his work back to the trio sneaking away from the staff cabin, he let out a short laugh, and flipped to the next page, using the green pencil he'd just finished with to write a few notes opposite the picture's title:
And so, the errant spies return. It seems Violet and Taro are dragging Seto off to have a little conference of their own. How amusing. It occurs to me that I'm now the only person at camp not privy to a secret meeting. Well, no matter.
Shaking his head, he gazed one more time at "Nostalgia" before striding after the other three campers, making smart use of the buildings to obscure himself from their line of sight.

Like if something bad happened, they'd be the last to know. Hopefully, anyway...

Hey! Read my fanfic: HereViolet carefully made sure the door was closed and unconsciously exhaled. Then, thinking better of it for a moment, she pulled her keychain flail from her pocket and hung it on the door handle to act as a chime if anyone entered, then turned back to Taro and Seto.
"Oh... kay. So, to summarize what I already told Taro, I don't trust Kyouya to guide us safely out of the woods, I don't trust Joshua to keep everyone safe, and I don't trust Flann to put a higher priority on escape than revenge. That leaves us stuck in the middle of a forest that we can't escape through.
"So that means we have to find a way to escape that does not require us to find our way through the surrounding forest. Setting a signal fire is a good start, but according to Flann the villagers still won't be able to get to us in a hurry - we'll be able to communicate, and that's about it, which would be fine if there weren't someone in camp trying to kill us all. That means we need to communicate the urgency of our predicament more effectively, which means making ourselves more visible to more than just Hakkoumori."
Having nearly exhausted her lungs, she deeply inhaled before adding her conclusion.
"So... will you two help me start a forest fire, if it means we all get out alive?"

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOSeto sighed in relief. "Oh, phew. I thought ya were gonna suggest leaving ourselves..." He looked up at the ceiling for a moment. Don't give up, huh? Well, I ain't givin' up... Not on getting help, not yet. "I'm in," Seto answered, clapping his hands together. "But how are you going to keep it from spreading to the cabins?"
Taro's eyes went wide. A forest fire? That was a seriously dangerous idea... but it made sense. If they set a forest fire, the village would see it and put it out, and even if they didn't and it burnt down, they'd be able to see how to get to the village... provided they didn't burn with it. It was a win-win-DIE. He wasn't sure he liked the odds.
"Or us, for that matter?"
Hey! Read my fanfic: HereMegumi had been debating with herself whether or not it was safe to go back into Cabin One and retrieve the belongings that she'd left behind in the rush to leave earlier. On the one hand, it seemed as though the group wasn't as adamant about sticking together as before, with smaller knots of people breaking off to do their own thing, but on the other hand she wasn't entirely sure going off alone was a good idea even if it was just to her cabin for a moment. And she wasn't sure she trusted anyone enough to ask them to come with her.
Stupid doomed timeline...As expected, Violet wants to start a forest fire. Somehow, I get the feeling this is not the best idea in the world, but surprisingly, Seto seems to be going along with it. Regardless, I've heard enough here. Following these three has reminded me that we have another camper in our midst. I must revise my previous statement: I'm one of only two people at camp not party to a secret meeting. That girl is incredibly adept at remaining unnoticed. Useful, but a little strange. Well, whatever.
Treading lightly, he pushed off from beside the door and made his way over to Megumi, standing awkwardly next to her for a few moments before offering up a greeting, "Hey. How are you holding up, Arakita-san?"

"Oh. I'm all right. I had been debating with myself as to whether or not I should go get my things. It seems a bit trivial to be thinking about that now, but while I can always get new clothes, I had some books and things that can't really be replaced, at least not easily. But I decided it might not be the best idea to go alone."

"...was that all?" I was kind of hoping he was planning to do that anyway...
