"Oh, I've been having such a lovely time today. I think I'll check the Literature section. Maybe there's some interesting discussion going on the the Dresden Files topic. So, I'll just click "Literature" on the forum list and— WHAT THE FUCK!?"

Eh, knew about this for a few months now. Hey, maybe it will get a demographic that normally would be huge on it, into reading. I'm tempted to check this out just for kicks when it comes out.

Hey, I'm glad to find geek culture in unlikely places. Good on her for trying at least.

Though if it sucks diseased moose wang, I'll mock like everyone else.

My first thought: OK, who's to say she doesn't have a lot of writing talent? A lot of people have made surprising changes in their career. It'll probably be a run-of-the-mill derivative fantasy at the very least.

My second thought (after clicking the link): AHAHAHAHAHA the place where every girl wants to go? Ooh, I want to go there! Maybe I can also meet a handsome sparkly vampire who'll marry me so I can quit my job. Sque fucking ee.

"Intoxibellas"? I thought models preferred cocaine and pills.

The only thing this work could possibly be good for is mockery.

Christopher Paolini, you're off the hook... for now.

That story is hilarious! The Onion couldn’t come up with something this funny. I wonder how far her ghost writer she’ll progress through Modelland.

Reminds me of a time in the past decade I was dutifully doing my cardio on a treadmill at the gym. A bunch of the TV sets were set to Oprah and she was interviewing Madonna about her new children’s book. And they had cardboard cutouts of the characters decorating the set.

Well, people at the gym must have thought I’d spontaneously gone insane as I just started laughing uncontrollably. The first thought I had upon looking at them was, “Kristin, you look burnt...or DEAD!”

Well, y'know what they say: "write what you know."

The scenario I'm hoping for: the first third of the book is exactly what everyone is expecting, and the second half the book takes an incredibly dark turn for the worse.

I really want something like this. Maybe everyone in *cough* Modelland is like the oldschool Fair Folk. That would be an interesting read.

Didn't you know that models are actually mysterious beings who can crap out rainbows?

Have you ever had the misfortune of seeing America's Next Top Model? I have. Unless it was all an act and the most epic troll in history, Tyra Banks is not clever enough to pull something like that.

I wonder if this is going to be an Affectionate Parody of fantasy novels. Or maybe Tyra's shooting for So Bad, It's Good.

I, for one, think this endeavorer of Tyra's will work out magnificently.

And by "magnificently" I mean "Holy crap, this is gonna be the most hilarious Snark Bait ever!"

I can't wait to read this book. Judging by the premise, there's a very high possibility it's going to be So Bad It's Good.
