Should be noted that a Boo tribute was originally going to be in an AVGN video in 2020 but he ended up using it at the end of the Cinemassacre Video episode about Born Free instead. But it makes sense that there'd be a shorter tribute at the end of this one too, given the subject matter.

I love how this episode was just an excuse for James to go all Cat Dad and just delight in how amusingly shitty the game was as a Cat Enthusiast.
The Ode to Joy section where the game asks you to clean up the cat litter and Nerd is just stupefied was funny.
Also the Boo tribute made me kinda sad and nostalgic. I remember back in the day when those episodes came out Boo appearing the the NES Accessories and Atari Jaguar videos.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceI love the outtake from the Jekyll & Hyde episode when the Nerd is going through one of his rants, and Boo just randomly passes by on the counter.

Don't worry, Mel's not dead.

^As an aside, on the one hand I can almost respect the idea that people have no problem with politics and diversity, as long as they don't overtake the quality.
Except many times it seems like people in that camp forget about the Non-"Woke" crap or try to insist that all crap prior to 2016 is better than today's crap.
James' 5 favorite TV shows.
Nice to see MST 3 K get a mention.

What is in that crate?!
Like creepy stories? Check out my book! While we're waiting for the next Nerd (or otherwise) video, here's an odd question: Are there any games that you actually bought after seeing the Nerd review them?
For me, he reminded me of Street Fighter: The Movie, and when he said it played like Street Fighter II, I decided to give it a shot. It's actually not a bad game, and worth owning for the oddity factor.
Not bought, but I played Ghosts N Goblins sometime after his review (although I was aware of the game beforehand).
It's an ok game, but it's definitely one where you have to be on high alert throughout.
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!I think just about the only game that was covered by the Nerd that I played was Earthbound. And that was before he reviewed it.
ASAB: All Sponsors Are Bad.I played Back to the Future on NES, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle, Mario is Missing and Majora's Mask before James reviewed them (there might have been a couple others, but I don't remember offhand).
Honestly Crazy Castle (the original anyway), and Mario Is Missing aren't really bad games IMO. I think it's just people expected them to be adventure games, but Crazy Castle is a puzzle/stealth game, while Mario Is Missing is an educational/memory game.
I do have memories of finding Crazy Castle pretty addicting.
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!"Playing a game before the Nerd reviewed it" isn't the same thing, guys. My question was more if the Nerd brought a game to your attention that you either never heard of or forgot was a thing and, despite him possibly bashing it, something about it intrigued you enough to check it out for yourself.
Street Fighter 2010 was another one. Never played it before it was reviewed. Definitely earned its reputation as a hard title.
I also bought MK Mythologies Sub-Zero after it was reviewed on the Nerd. Unfortunately this title didn't fare nearly as well as SFTM. I give them credit for trying something different though.
New AVGN episode!
