I've been following this, just haven't felt like commenting. I guess the point of this segment is to keep us wondering how much of the Paczats' evil is innate and how much is conditioned. I'm not sure that the question is really relevant, though, given that even if they befriend individual Paczats, they still have to deal with a whole mess of them that are not going to be so easily convinced. I like how AV is really making an effort here; the principles of Reality do not shatter so easily.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Good point. Meanwhile, in the other group, Todo is the one having a moral crisis, similar to the one he had on Magic World. I guess this is intended to reinforce that someone who's always been a Realist may not make the best person to deal with other worlds, because they lack the necessary frame of reference to understand just how bad it can be elsewhere. AV, by contrast, has to live in that grey area constantly and is used to it.
Of course, we also have to contrast that with Didly, who has a story similar to AV's but came to a radically different conclusion.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Well, this doesn't look good
for Todo's sense of morality. What did I say about it coming to the test for real this time?
Well the problem here is that Todo and company are virtually incapable of physically harming the Paczats with the tools they have available. So Todo has no way to vent his rage that's going to help them.
Edit: I overuse "literally" a lot.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"He's going to do something. Probably something that may or may not cause things to be screwed up even more, which in his vengeful state of mind he may not care about.
For example, my idea was him using one of their weapons to cause a cave in a-la Mulan's avalanche. The Pazcats would likely survive, pissed off, and escape becomes almost impossible while Todo goes off on his own deeper into the caves to find AV.
I also predict that Todo's actions in this plot are likely going to end up clashing horribly with AV's more peaceful approach, probably ruining it. This would naturally lead to the role reveral of Todo receiving an idealism speech for once, possibly from AV, and might cause something of a schism in the team.

This is both needlessly cruel and somehow morbidly hilarious.

Did.... Did I see Country Matters in the latest comic?
No seriously! I mean, this comic has always been not that bad, in terms of content.
Also, the newest update is... scary.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.I got to say that I'm glad this artist took over for the artwork in The Wotch, that webcomic has gotten so much bearable to look at.
Also known as Achillesforever6 of Lordkat.com fameThat web-comic went from horrible, to pretty good, just with an artist shift.
Mind you, we've had mostly action scenes, and not too much plot development, so it might...
Wait.
The old artist couldn't draw action scenes! Another way that comic got better!
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.I think "horrible" is exaggerated. SBAHJ is (purposely) Horrible. The Wotch was... just meh (the problem was that there was no art progress, though; compare with El Goonish Shive which started with a similar quality and underwent great Art Evolution).

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I meant all together, not just art. The combination of all story, characters, ideas, themes, and art were not very well done, but it's amazing what a new artist can do.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.So, um...
Am I reading this right — AV finally broke through her secretiveness and pulled a huge The Power of Friendship victory, while Todo, of all people, just killed a Paczat kid?
Would Todo have made good on his threat, though? Seems like he's decided to drop all pretense of fighting honorably. This combined with the previous Magic World chapter make it seem like his morality is finally showing its cracks — he's a paragon of idealism only because that's all he's ever known.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Given the White Pupils Of Crazy he had, it's hard to say if he would have. However, it also showed that Pazcats seem to care at least for other members of their own species.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I have never wondered until now just what AV's name stood for.
But dang, that chapter was heavy.

Hey, buddy! Play this game! And so it continues.
Frankly, I'm surprised no one conjectured that since Didly was there, Kimmy was clearly getting the ship back online (the change of lighting within the ship is nice too). And to be honest, the cliffhanger in this case has somewhat of a more predictable solution. On the other hand, I suppose the group won't be sticking around this world for as long as we thought, eh?
Gotta go reread this while I'm not distracted. It seemed like we flashed back there for a second, and I'm trying to figure out the Didly an... oh, wait, that's right, he was disguised as Kimmy. Got it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"

And another one!
Really, no comment? And how interesting that the Paczats do love their dungeons (though at the expense of everyone that has to go through them).
