Archer: "Here comes another one!" *another close call* "Damn they're fast!"
Swordsman: "This is just what Blaze wanted. I'm on him and he's over land. Firing cannon!" *Vulcan Cannon fires*
Archer: "He's on fire!"
Blaze: "I'd say that's kill confirmed. Was he over land?"
Swordsman: "Yes."
Blaze: "Perfect."
Archer: "Hey, you two stopped responding for a few minutes there. What happened?"
Blaze: "Private discussion. None of your business Grimm."
Archer: "Riiiiiiight. That just makes me more suspicious."
Blaze: "Grimm!"
Archer: "... Sorry sir."
Blaze: "Let's get back to base." *switches back to private channel* "Nagase, meet me in my quarters after we eat. I want to talk to you, face to face."
Edge: *over the private channel* "Of course."
And with that, the Ghosts Of Razgriz have left the combat airspace. I'll see you guys again later.

I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.Razgriz Tactical Fighter Squadron was on a routine patrol. Then some Soviets outta C&C: Red Alert opened up with a flak cannon. iTroper blatantly ignored the rules. Flanker and catfish 42 make their appearances, with an Su-34 and an aircraft called a "Buccaneer", respectively. catfish 42 switches to the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal. The Razgriz engage the carrier and then immediately after engage Flanker. iTroper blatantly ignores the rules again. Artemis 92 shows up with a wizard. Some units from Halo arrive as Gaunt 88. I explain the history of the Razgriz. Gaunt leaves. The Razgriz attempt to land but encounter a Scout and Heavy on the airfield. Reecer6 gets told off. Gloom's Soviet forces attack catfish42's carrier with submarines. Then Gloom pulls out a Kirov airship. The Razgriz engage the blimp. Plumbum shows up as Sub-Zero. Gloom requests reinforcements from amphibious APCs. The Kirov is destroyed, but some of Gloom's men get on the Ark Royal. The Razgriz shoot down Flanker(again). Flanker gets out a Typhoon. Marcus "Swordsman" Snow is made into bait for the Typhoon. Blaze and Edge speak privately to one another about their feelings towards each other. Hans "Archer" Grimm nearly blacks himself out right before Swordsman shoots it down with his Vulcan Cannon. Grimm asks what Blaze and Edge were talking about a few minutes ago, and gets yelled at. Razgriz land.

I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.Okay, thanks. Also, I plan on watching Sky Crawlers very soon, but so far all I know about it is from the trope page. Until further notice, the Sanka Mk B in my avatar is piloted by an unknown individual who will not be named, and who has little-to-no piloting skill.
A small, strange-looking propeller-driven aircraft appears in the area, and the pilot assesses the situation. Seeing that all enemy aircraft are far beyond the Mk B's capabilities, the pilot decides to stay low, and fires their guns upon the figure staring out the large panoramic window of a small building...
Artemis, I'm assuming your spells can damage this plane? Also, I have no idea if this plane can even engage in air-to-ground combat, but the pilot is inexperienced.

@iTroper: As a matter of fact, I was hoping you'd come back as something other than a plane, so I'd have something that I could actually attack. In case you're wondering, the rules for my guy are as follows: *Yeah, I probably put a bit too much thought into this.
Just so you know, I'm on the ground at the moment, so most of the building's in the way. Also, I pictured this as a typical office skyscraper. Finally, if no other human(-oids) show up, screw it, I'm gonna Image Search a StarWars BattleFront ship.
In Conclusion: Gotta go, V's on. Nighty-night.

Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman.iTroper, I don't think there's anything in the air at this time. That means that you can have a little fun with that plane. For now at least.
I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.Okay, so inside buildings is a safe zone? Alright, never mind. And yeah, I'll have a little fun with the plane...
The Mk B finds that the image in the window is merely a mannequin in a boutique. Strange how it got into a city with no inhabitants...
With no enemies in sight, the pilot starts weaving between the skyscrapers, doing loop-the-loops and barrel rolls. The plane emerges from between two office buildings and circles around a cylindrical tower like the thread of a screw, rising above the city skyline. It the proceeds to fly over the city while pulling off complex dogfighting maneuvers...
I know I'm probably writing myself into a corner again, but here goes...
*After having replenished their bodies, the pilots of the Razgriz Tactical Fighter Squadron prepare for one last sortie for the day.*
Blaze: *on foot, inside a hangar, with only Kei Nagase present* "I hope you'll soon be able to open yourself up, Kei. It's hard for me to think straight in combat with you always dodging the issue."
Nagase: "I'm just not yet entirely certain if these feelings are true, and I don't want to go around claiming we're together if I don't know precisely where I stand on that."
Blaze: "You have to let it out sooner or later. If you don't it'll just become an even bigger problem in the future."
Nagase: "I know, but... I can't. Not yet."
Blaze: "Just don't let it get you off-balance in combat. You've already been shot down and nearly captured once. And we both remember how well we took Alvin's death..."
Nagase: "Yeah..."
*Just then, Hans Grimm and Mobius One arrive.*
Blaze: "Mobius? Did Snow decide to give it up?"
Mobius One: "Yes. He's retired. And I am joining your squadron."
Nagase: "I've always wanted to fly at your side..."
Mobius One: "I know, Nagase. So, Blaze, where are you putting me?"
Blaze: "That's your call. Honestly, I'd rather Marcus have waited another year or two, but..."
Grimm: "He still hasn't left the airfield. You want me to get him?"
Blaze: "Yeah. Find him. At least one last flight with him today."
Grimm: "Sure thing."
*Grimm goes off searching for Marcus Snow, and finds him just before he gets in his car and leaves.*
Snow: "Ah dammit. Blaze sent you, didn't he?"
Grimm: "Yeah. He doesn't want you to retire until tomorrow."
Snow: "To hell with that! I know how it goes, guy announces his retirement then dies before he does retire. I'm not letting that happen to me."
Grimm: "I guess I'll let you go then. Goodbye, Captain Snow. You always flew really well."
Snow: "Thank you, and goodbye. Tell the rest of them I wish them the best. Especially Blaze and Nagase."
*Hans runs back to the hangar.*
Blaze: "I see you returned alone."
Grimm: "Yeah. Apparently, he thinks we're in a work of fiction or something."
Mobius One: "Then I guess I will join your squadron, Blaze."
Grimm: "He also said to wish everyone the best, 'especially Blaze and Nagase'."
Nagase: "Then I guess it's no use hiding it anymore..."
Blaze: "We both suspect we hold the same feelings toward each other."
Nagase: "I'd been trying my best to hide it, but I guess Snow saw right through it all..."
Blaze: "Kei is still slightly uncertain if her feelings are true, as am I. We didn't want to openly reveal it unless we knew that we were certain."
Nagase: "But that's gone right out the window."
Blaze: "I just didn't want you guys to get overly protective of either of us, especially after Alvin Davenport lost his life."
Nagase: "So please, just fly like you never heard anything. Please."
*The Ghosts of Razgriz perform final pre-flight checks and climb into their aircraft. Mobius, already feeling somewhat protective of Nagase, knowing she always wanted to fly with him, has a lot of thoughts racing through his head.*
Blaze: "Razgriz One to Control Tower, starting engines and preparing to taxi to the runways."
Control Tower: "Roger that, Razgriz. Takeoff permission will be issued shortly."
Blaze: "Roger that. While we're still on the ground, I'd just like to say, just fly like you always do. It'll be amazing to watch Mobius in action."
*The Razgriz start their engines and taxi to the runways.*
Control Tower: "Stand by. Your AWACS isn't ready yet. He'll take off last, of course, but we can't give you clearance until he's ready."
Blaze: "Understood, Tower."
Archer: *on a secure and encrypted channel* "Private Channel."
Blaze: "Private channel, go ahead."
Archer: "I just want to say, I'm sorry."
Blaze: "What do you have to apologize for, Grimm?"
Archer: "First, for that incident right after we destroyed the SOLG and Nagase's cheeks were cherry red. I'd like to apologize to her for that. I should've known you were trying to keep it under wraps, and I should've known not to mention it."
Blaze: "It's alright, Grimm. It happened months ago. Nagase and I have both gotten over it."
Archer: "Second, just before we came back here. I shouldn't have mentioned that the two of you were on a private channel discussing private matters. And third, I'm sorry I blew it wide open, even if I was only the messenger."
Blaze: "It's all fine, Grimm. I doubt I would've done any different in your position. Don't dwell on it. Just let it go."
Archer: "Yes sir. I just wanted to get that out of my system."
Blaze: "Understandable." *switches back to regular channel* "If I went silent on you guys there for a second, don't worry. It was just Grimm getting things out of his system. And Edge, he wants to say that he's sorry for all those times when he made our relationship more public."
Edge: "It's fine, Grimm. I'll get over it."
Oka Nieba: "Finally. Always takes very long time to fuel big jet. Control Tower, request permission to take off."
Control Tower: "Roger that, Sky Eye. Razgriz, take off permission granted."
*The Ghosts of Razgriz return to the skies for one last flight for the day.*
So yeah, I had Snow pull a Genre Savvy into Defied Trope on Retirony, and I had Grimm drop a This Is Reality on the same subject. And holy crap, long post. Sorry, guess I really wanted to get into detail about that romantic subplot. Whoops.
EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure this went straight past "long post" and right into "fanfiction" when I had Snow pull that Genre Savvy into Defied Trope combo move, and it only went further when I had Grimm apologize for calling out how Nagase was speaking to her squadron leader right before they engaged the SOLG. And I never even noticed...

I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.I've set up my anti-virus to start scans at 3:00 A.M. Breaking off now, as I stated, at 2:50. See you guys tomorrow.
*The fatigue of flying all day has finally caught up with the Razgriz.*
Blaze: "I can't be the only one who's half-asleep in my fighter right now..."
Archer: *yawns* "No, you're not."
Mobius One: "I agree. Let's get some rest."
Edge: "Yeah."
Blaze: "Sky Eye, you still with me?"
Oka Nieba: "Barely, Blaze. Your base commander just ordered you recalled, suspecting just this type of thing."
Blaze: "Roger that. Returning to base, out."
Edge: *over a secure frequency* "Blaze, when it was finally let open, that we both love each other... I feel... liberated."
Blaze: "Yeah, I know. I still think this might make us start going way too fast, but..."
Edge: "I'll sleep with you tonight. It'll feel good. Letting it be seen openly actually let me realize just what I felt for you."
Blaze: "Same here. Alright, tonight, we'll be together. And we won't care who finds out about our love anymore."
Edge: "I know we've never really gotten that intimate before, but I think we're ready."
Blaze: "Kei, I'm letting you lead in this case. I don't care how long it takes, just that we get there, and that we enjoyed ourselves the whole way."
Edge: "Okay."
Blaze: *over regular channel* "Control tower, requesting permission to land."
Tower: "Permission granted, Razgriz."
*The Razgriz land, taxi back to the hangars, and exit their fighters. They've done a long day's work, but for Blaze and Nagase, the night isn't over...*
I will be back tomorrow. No, Blaze and Edge aren't going to have sex, they're not even comfortable seeing each other even partially undressed yet. Get your heads outta the goddamned gutter.

I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.Sub-Zero was watching over the battlefield.
Sub-Zero: "There's nothing we can do about these guys! They'll rip us to shreds before we can freeze them."
Lin Kuei lieutenant: "Well, what do we do, master Sub-Zero?"
Sub-Zero: "We Wait."
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.<post retconned out of existence>
So, then. I seem to remember a shield of some sort? I guess you'll include in your next post whatever effect the bullets have, if any.
(EDIT: The blimp is gone? Whoops.)

*The Ghosts Of Razgriz have just taken off and are moving to engage.*
Blaze: "Just fly like you always do, guys. We always do well."
Archer: "Yeah. Wonder what's out there today."
Mobius One: "Not much. Just a prop plane. Should be no trouble."
Edge: "I can't believe Captain Snow just left like that..."
Grimm: "He thinks we're in a work of fiction or something to that effect. In that sense, I honestly can't blame him: blacks die rapidly and announcing retirement gets you killed. I just think he's kinda paranoid."
Blaze: "Let him be. I don't want someone who's going to be a burden."
Edge: "I guess..."
I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.*The Ghosts of Razgriz see the oncoming fighter and break formation.*
Mobius One: "Ha! Little prop plane thinks it can take on the Raptor?"
Blaze: "Don't humiliate them. Gun kills only, no afterburner."
Edge: "Okay. Your call."
*The Ghosts of Razgriz engage the Shinden without using afterburners and at low altitude, relying solely on guns to attack their prey.*
I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.Blaze: "Multiple hits. Bring them down."
Edge: "I just hope they open their canopy in time..."
*The Ghosts Of Razgriz, staying at below 50,000 feet and airspeeds below 550 miles per hour, are still able to heavily engage the target and bring it down in short order.*
Archer: "Fire!"
Blaze: "Huh?"
Archer: "They're burning!"
Blaze: "Oh." *looks behind him* "And there's the 'chute."
Mobius: "I told you. No trouble at all."

I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.Gloom, as long as individual units don't qualify for level 2, you should be all clear.
I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important. One kill against me? Dang. Okay, I'm gonna wait until I get the chance to actually watch The Sky Crawlers before returning so I can figure out just what this thing can do...

HMS Ark Royal steams along the coastline, 50 miles distance. A flight of two Phantoms is stationed on Combat Air Patrol, a Fairey Gannet AEW Mk.3 is sent up along with its escort fighters and Sea King helicopters monitor the waters for enemy submarines.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the line

Archer: "Hey, did you forget about our thrust vectoring?" *pulls an incredibly hard turn, nearly blacking out in the process*
Swordsman: "Archer, what are you doing?"
Archer: "I'm fine, I'm fine!" *comes around on the Typhoon's six , in gun range* "Firing!" *Vulcan Cannon fire*
