I'd probably suggest Frank West
◊ - the fact that his shirt is bloody and he's holding a bloody baseball bat, in addition to carrying a larger than average camera, should get a lot of the point across.
Frank West definitely looks like this trope Up To Eleven in that pic, lol.
Just a note, I agree the image could be way better (voted for Frank, that rocks), but I think the Just A Face And A Caption accusation is getting overused. The Lois Lane image has some JAFAAC issues (not obviously intrepid, as noted above) but imo it's unfair to call it that overall. CBB sure, JAFAAC no.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan."Intrepid Reporter", to me, does not mean "reporter willing to beat things bloody with a baseball bat". The Frank West picture is okay, but the Lois Lane one is significantly better.

Yeah, I have to agree. This trope doesn't tend to include any violence on the part of the reporter. They'll sneak in and sneak out, but I'm sorry, the bloody guy with the baseball bat doesn't look a thing like a reporter.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI think Frank West is more fit for Going for the Big Scoop, which is also in need of an image (hintity hint hint).
But Frank's not this trope, he's Going for the Big Scoop. How does someone who doesn't follow the trope make a better image? Lane might not be either, but Intrepid mean sneaking into places and taking some minor risks. We have another trope for what Frank is. He belongs on that trope, not this one.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickObligatory trite definition link:
audacious: invulnerable to fear or intimidation; "audacious explorers"; "fearless reporters and photographers"; "intrepid pioneers" wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
In that image, regardless of whether he actually fits the trope or not, Frank West gets across the idea of the trope. He looks fearless, and he looks like a reporter. Lois Lane...just looks like a reporter.
Going for the Big Scoop? He's not doing that in this picture. He's just standing there. It's a bad pic for that page.
Like I say, I prefer Spirou, West looks more like this trope Up To Eleven. But he still looks like this trope.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:

Not only that, the image looks low quality to me. Sorta...fuzzy. Hurts me eyes.
I mean, yeah, she's obviously a reporter. What makes her Intrepid? The difficulty here, that I acknowledge readily, is finding an image that conveys Intrepid whilst differentiating this trope from the soon-to-be chosen Red Shirt Reporter image (which will be a reporter in severe danger).
Something with a reporter sneaking round an abandoned warehouse or something might be good.
Weirdly, for a JAFAAC, I find that the caption actually mystifies me a little, being completely out of context. I sort of get it, but it's hardly obvious to a non-fan. So it ends up being almost JAF.
Any thoughts? Fine as is? Too hard to change?
