This thread is for quick questions. A "quick question" is a question which has a relatively quick, generally factual answer; a question which is not likely to inspire an extended discussion.
e.g.
Quick Question: How tall is an average ten-year-old boy?
Not a Quick Question: Why are Americans obsessed with guns?
Quick Question: Why is ALS sometimes called Lou Gehrig's Disease? Who was Lou Gehrig?
Not a Quick Question: In Alan Dean Foster's Thranx Commonwealth series, is Pip a Mary Sue?
Get the idea?

Not particularly sure if this goes here, but I can't seem to log into MSN or Windows LIVE to access my e-mail. Whenever I try MSN it tells me there's a problem with my account, and whenever I try to log into LIVE it tells me there's a problem and it can't log in, and to try later. This has been happening for a few hours now, and I was just wondering if anyone else here is getting the same thing and if I should start running down the street declaring the end is nigh.
Against all tyrants.A) The longer they ferment? No, not really. The longer they ferment, the stronger (more alcoholic) they get, until the sugar content is low enough that that the yeasts can no longer survive. But higher alcohol level doesn't equate to better flavor.
B) There are some alcoholic drinks that are effectively immortal as long as they're sealed away from air. Air causes oxidation. Oxidation can ruin any alcoholic beverage eventually.
Aging isn't fermenting. They do two different things. Fermenting produces alcohol. Aging changes the flavor. To what depends on what it's being aged in. A liquid that's aged in a charred oak barrel will absorb chemicals from both the char and the oak that will result in a different flavor than if the same liquid is aged in uncharred maple barrels. Aging in a sealed glass container will generally not change the flavor at all, because glass has no flavor-producing chemicals that can be dissolved in alcohol or water. The stopper might, though.
As to flavor, alcohol is alcohol is alcohol. Filter (or distill) out all the stuff that isn't alcohol from any alcoholic beverage, and they'd all taste the same. The flavor comes from all the stuff that isn't alcohol.

It's the alcohol concentration that kills the yeast rather than the sugar deprivation.
For the most part aged more = better tasting, or so people tell me. I don't drink anything aged because it's A)expensive and B)the things I drink aren't aged very often.
Fight smart, not fair. The HTML that should display the little speech-balloon image is jacked up, so it's showing the "broken image" square.
In some browsers, it doesn't show up at all.
Heapers’ HangoutClearing the cache doesn't help. The problem is that it's putting out borked HTML:
(It's been this way for like a week now)
Heapers’ Hangout(The thing is, I don't really mind not having the icon there, but the stupidity of that code drives me mad)
Heapers’ Hangout("Don't put an entire HTML tag inside the attribute of another HTML tag" isn't really something you have to be a 1337 hacker to understand.)
Heapers’ HangoutThere are other flaws in the HTML, like an overlapping tag or two.
