It'd be kinda cool and incredibly easy to implement if your bottom talent gave you a temporary title based on your race and spec though. Like, a dwarf Fury warrior would get a Mountain Lord title, a NE Holy priest would be a Priest(ess) of the Moon, etc.
Spec-specific titles came up fairly often on the old suggestions forums, though race less so. The problem with race-specific titles is that a lot of the race/class combinations don't really have the lore to suggest one. Sure, a dwarf fury warrior could be a Mountain King, a troll fury warrior might be a Berserker, and a human could be a Barbarian... but what about a blood elf fury warrior? A gnome or goblin fury warrior? You would probably manage better giving general spec titles, then giving appropriate race/class combos a different one, such as restoration shaman being "Spirit Menders" in general, but trolls get "Witch Doctor" instead.
Well, the idiocy on the official forums does allow for some fun things to happen...like this
, which is hilarious.
The site links were screwed up there for a bit. Sorry. And I never said it was the funniest thing ever, just that it was relevant.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I saw in the hotfixes list last night that Druids' Rejuvenation, along with a number of other spells, got their mana costs changed internally. Interestingly, the client still thinks they have the old cost and won't let you cast it if you wouldn't have had enough mana to do so with that old cost. I wonder if that was live when I was raid healing on Sunday... I didn't observe a massive difference but it could have just been that I wasn't expecting to.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Well it was live last night and man I didnt have nearly as many mana problems as I normally do even though its nowhere near my most used spell
| Wild Growth | 12892540 | 25.0 % |
| Healing Touch | 9587516 | 18.6 % |
| Lifebloom | 8107426 | 15.7 % |
| Rejuvenation | 5521840 | 10.7 % |
| Nourish | 4385384 | 8.5 % |
| Tranquility | 3432215 | 6.7 % |
| Efflorescence | 1847406 | 3.6 % |
| Swiftmend | 1732370 | 3.4 % |
| Living Seed | 1462073 | 2.8 % |
| Lifebloom | 1337251 | 2.6 % (Bloom) |
| Rejuvenation | 1035857 | 2.0 % (insta heal) |
| Regrowth | 162834 | 0.3 % |
I have really decided that Efflorescence really blows ass... (I need to regrowth more I guess too I only really use it if I think about it and want the haste buff) The fact that they are buffing Wild Growth a lot is pretty shocking IMO.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!My experience is that I only Regrowth when I have Clearcasting, due to the extreme mana cost, unless shit's really hitting the fan. Efflorescence is pretty but I don't use Swiftmend for that; it's merely a nice bonus.
You use Nature's Grace? I specced into Furor for the extra mana rather than sacrifice talents in the Resto tree to dive down to Moonglow. It seems that 15% haste for 15 seconds every minute, conditional on casting your single least efficient spell, isn't worth it numerically. I was thinking about it and while haste increases healing throughput, it also increases mana consumption, something not to be unconcerned with in the current environment. Crit and Mastery increase throughput too, but not at the expense of mana.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"[1]
here is my spec right now. Come Patch day I may drop Nature's grace / moonglow for 3/3 furor and Nature's bounty or just drop Efflorescence for it (Unsure at this point). Efflorescence I use when we have to collapse on fights (Twins, Magmar, Atra, Maloriak) but the numbers Suck ass.
And well on fights that I have some warning when shit is going to hit the fan I usually will try and cast a quick regrowth for the haste and Berserking , Wildgrowth / HT spam I can get 1.4~ second H Ts but yeah its rare and I really got to be thinking about using it. Twins, Magmar are the two really big ones with the "Incoming Shit Storm".
Haste IMO is by far our best non base stat (IE Int is better but not reforgable).. followed by spirit then mastery and crit. while it may be more MPS (mana per second) but getting 9th tick at 2004 haste to wild growth is HUGE, and another 15% I think adds another (I got to check the math) I do run into mana problems sometime on these fights but I normally last till the end (Hard makeups of Halfus and the very end of ascendant usually get me OOM)

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Hmm, my raid healing experience thus far is limited to Magmaw and Omnotron, and we beat Magmaw when I was on DPS. While I recognize that the "extra tick" is a desirable haste plateau, I'm not sure that it's reachable in 346 gear without sacrificing too many other stats. How much Spirit do you run with, and do you use the Int or Spirit flask?
Wild Growth topping healing meters makes sense on fights like Halfus, but when we beat Omnotron, my top spell was Lifebloom.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Always Int flasks with Revitilise gives mana back when LB ticks and its %age based.
Reaching it is my goal I am 400 away right now but when the patch hits and I can use the new Alchy trinket I will be roughly 200 away which is easy to get if I can win the right spirit/haste drops.
Problem is almost all fights are like halfus Ao E damage is king right now. (Cho'gal its looking like we will have to 1 tank it 3 healers or 2 tank it with 2 healers and he has an ability he does that does 100k to the raid every 40 seconds or so... HARSH)
edited 19th Jan '11 8:41:12 AM by Raso
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!100K is ouchy! I wouldn't want to have to heal all that damage up. You didn't answer my other questions: what's your current Spirit and which flask do you use?
Interestingly, our guild master wants me to run Balance because I do very good DPS, but the raid leader of my assigned 10-man group wants me to go Resto because I'm a good healer. Oh, the irony.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I linked my armory and responded to the flasks thing...
I have right now 5289 Int (122k buffed with the exception of Int buff from mages since we don't have one) 1620 haste, 2062 spirit.
I always use Int flasks since they are both Regen via Revitilise and Innervate (glyph as well) since I am an alc they give 380 int as well.
I always gem for int as well (unless the bonus is 20+ int or I need it for my meta)
Haste adds thoughput for Hots and since WG has a cooldown it doesnt add any Mana per second useage though haste. Right now my guild has downed everyone but Cho'gal Al'akir Chimarion and Nef.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Sorry, I missed the bit about the flask, and I can't get to the Armory from work. 2K Spirit, huh - nice, I only have 1770 or so in Resto gear. I'm sharing quite a bit with my Balance set, where I try to avoid going over hit cap. I go with the Int flask too; with that and Furor I'm nearly at 120K mana in raids.
If you have 122K without Furor, your gear must be a ton better than mine.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Lol np. I had 200 spirit but recently picked up 2 epics that were upgrades in everything but that. (Tyrande's doll and the Mastery/haste dagger off magmaw)
And yeah the whole hit cap thing is really making me chose between if i want resto or balance as my primary spec I am leaning toward resto.
EDIT: I have 2 of 3 Furor. (But never get the 2k mana from a mage) avg Ilevel of 352

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Guild downed 25 man Magmaw last night, but I really wish we could just stick to 10 man. I don't really care if it's less loot; it's less stressful, we move faster, and we learn the content faster. Bleh.
Barely playing my main these days. I've still got use for Valor Points, but I just don't care enough, really. I'm only logging in on him for raid nights and to check for the Pebble daily, which I don't think I've seen in the last two weeks, despite checking daily. I've been spending most of my game time lately on leveling up a new dwarf enhancement shaman, and I'm loving her. Up to her mid-forties already, though I'm having some trouble getting mail replacements for her leather gear so far. The new talent trees and spell learning levels make a lowbie shaman so much more pleasant to level than they've ever been in the past.
In other news, the 2010 Holiday Dessert contest winners.
I'm caught between flabbergasted awe at the creativity of these people and dismay over the sheer waste of time involved.
I want to start working on my other toons to get them to 85, but every time I try to get on my Paladin, someone in guild asks to run a heroic and I'm SUCKED IN.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"^ Wowwee, those are pretty damn impressive. I wonder if the Gingerbread Goldshire Inn is full of level 1 gingerbread night elves dancing on the tables?
Secondly, that's probably why this shaman is so much easier for me to play than my other alts; she's on a different server (not to mention faction) than my main's guild, so there's no guild chat to suck me back to my main.

I'd guess a twat with macros. My old server had a gnomish university RP guild that had a character that would do this. Albeit less annoyingly and more wittily.
A lot of the things you're mentioning are pretty unnecessary to output to the party. If he included them for debug purposes he could whisper to himself.
If anyone sees it again, screenshot this, please
