Whoops. Bethesda apparently forgot to include the DRM in the day 1 version of Eternal's executable!
It's been patched since but as you're all aware, the internet has a long memory and the unpatched executable has already been disseminated far and wide.

Nah the funniest thing is they forgot the Doom 1 and 2 WA Ds in the steam version. So if you went to the Doomslayer's computer and tried to play doom 1 and 2, the game would crash
But you could put custom wads in the folder and play custom versions of doom inside Doom Eternal.
This has since been patched to include the .WAD files.

Ooooooooh, that's what happened. I saw a stream where a guy put in the code to play Doom 2 and the game crashed.
Wait, is this the full versions of Doom 1 and 2?
I gotta ask, is there enemy HP difference between difficulties?
From what I've seen, I think I saw enemies on ITYTD and HMP having less health but if you go from UV and above, it's doubled.
Is that right?
I'm stuck in a level of 64 where I don't know which way to go. I have gathered the red, blue, and yellow key, but there's a red switch that refuses to stay up.
Also on the topic of anime. What would happen if say, the Doom Slayer ended up in the My Hero Academia universe and ended up being forced to kill all the major villains lest they unleash the demons into the MHA universe?
Imagine if the Doom Slayer ended up in the universe of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Muzan would probably shit himself if he were to be shot with the BFG.
Any idea what the level is?
I'm sure the general populace will be afraid of him and want nothing to do with him. Distrustful and resentful? There's this one DOOM x RWBY crossover story I love reading called Remnant Inferis: DOOM and it's like that. Slayer's stronk but everyone except Ruby is afraid and distrustful of him.
The potential of crossovers is great. Doom Slayer isn't your average Space Marine that's for sure, and if fandom went with that whole Doom x Animal Crossing stuff, you can with almost anything. I mean I like the whole Doom x Hazbin Hotel thing but I don't seriously ship Doomguy and Charlie, it's just a joke Crack Ship really

If anything the Slayer would be happier in the 40K universe. Demons all over the place there.
So I looked up the classic versions of Doom in Eternal since nobody answered my question and apparently its the fullgames. Didn't find any vids that showed if we have Ultimate Doom or not tho.
@Dhiruxide The level is Tech Center.
EDIT: I finished the Tech Center. I was supposed to race to the teleporter after I flip on the switch.
My demon kills are 99% so far. My arsenal is chainsaw, fist, shotgun, super shotgun, chaingun, and rocket. I find the chainsaw to be the most impractical because the pink biters don't show up often and they die to shotgun anyway.

x4 One of the sadder bits of the Doom Slayer's character is that he's not really accepted anywhere. Even as a Marine he was booted to Mars because he refused to obey an order to fire on civilians and attacked his superior officer instead.
It's apparent in the new games too, given how afraid damn near everyone is of him. The only time he seems to have been accepted was when he was with the Sentinels — and that didn't end well either in the end. And if the Marauder's taunt has any truth to it even some of the Sentinels didn't really consider him one of them.
Heck, it's possible his Only Friend was his long dead pet bunny Daisy.

Daisy is still around. You can find her hidden in the levels. At least, this Earth's Daisy is fine. Did Doomguy come out in the past or did he find an alternate universe version of Earth?

add in how argent energy made him bear human suffering, the fact he was also an Unwitting Instigator of Doom when he mentioned demons in Khan Maykr's presence (something that Deag Ranak taunts Slayer about) is it any wonder he is talkless by choice and that his actions in Doom 2016 have more depth? He lost his second home, his dear comrades, brothers in arms. Come present, like when he killed Deag Grav, Sentinels immediately tried to apprehend him and all he could do is leave, even if they follow Khan Maykr, he can't bring himself to harm any of them. At least King Novik in the end approves of his actions and fully supports him
If his past post Doom 64 got adapted, you better believe it would be one big Tear Jerker Foregone Conclusion story. Sure it would be all fun at first. Then the shit goes down bad
For a Denser and Wackier game, the past is not Played for Laughs in any way.

He's making the same choice again. Rather than stand by and let civilians die, he'll turn against his organization to set things right.
I wonder why he lets the Hell Priests talk during the first level of the game, letting them teleport away rather than killing them. Was the implication supposed to be that they weren't actually there? That they were projections? Otherwise, the Doom Slayer is basically letting people die every time he delays killing a demon like that.

I dont think they were physically there.
Yeah, probably not. I imagine the other two were either on their own Hell Titans like the first guy or were in their own places and calling in.
Anyway, cleared out Cultist Base of all of its collectibles and got the Slayer Gate this time. All that' left is to clear out the next level and I'll be good to move on to the rest.
I gotta clear out the Slayer Gate in Exultia yet.
Or it could be the platforms they stood on had a protective barrier. Remember, Slayer didn't have all the coin thingies, so if he killed the other two they'd resurrect and continue business as usual.
I think the Slayer wanted to make a statement that he was coming for them now that he's back.
It'd be a good reason why he kept Nilox's head until he got to the Deag Council meeting.

I gotta say, Nekravol might just be one of the most disturbing locations I've seen in any video game. Like, holy crap.
So... are DL Cs gonna have their own takes on TNT Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment?
At this point, nothing is stopping DS from simply returning back to Hell to finish the job once and for all as all the Hell Priests, Khan Maykr and by extension the Maykr race are dead. Icon of Sin is currently immobilized. The Earth is saved at extremely high cost but they can rebuild. Only the Dark Lord remains
Should be smooth sailing from here. Now I am not sure if that would be better in a sequel or multiple DL Cs

Did I miss something with VEGA? I know I left him behind on the Makyr homeworld, but I seem to have missed the part where people think he died.
EDIT: The makyr race isn't dead. Their primary energy source is gone and they've been disconnected from their now dead hive mind leader, but they should still be alive as individuals. Too bad about all of that Hell in their planet now.
Edited by Zeromaeus on Mar 29th 2020 at 7:47:25 AM
It's implied that VEGA is actually The Father, ie, the creator of the Makyr race. Which probably ties into the theory that Samuel Hayden is actually the Seraphim Samur Maykr.
