I think it's a rather cool ability that just has some really badly-worded ruling.

Well, that's the thing, as I found out on Cockatrice, most people have no idea how banding works. As such, I can get creative with rule interpretation and they won't be any the wiser. You know, just to see how far I can take it before someone catches on.
