See, I'd totally swipe a box of Christmas lights and string them up around my desk if I had somewhere to plug them in.

I knew a guy named Hans Christian Anderson once.

Yeah, he was a classmate of mine in like 7th grade.

He was sort of an outcast (though not as much as I was).

How much of an outcast were you?

I was pretty much a loner, though this was largely my own doing.

I did sometimes talk to the girl who sat next to me on the bus, who lived just a few streets away, but that was about the extent of my social interaction.

Wow, you do sound like Twilight. I can relate to her a bit as well. I have never really had much of a social life outside of school, as I rather like (and still do) wallowing in my anorakiness.

Firefox 4 drops tomorrow. ARE WE EXCITED

^ Same here. Right now I don't even have a social life within school, which kinda bothers me sometimes.

Wait a minute, if I'm Twilight, who does that make you?

I only said "a bit".

Also, Rarity, you should have known this, silly.

I don't know why I like reading the comments on anything from before The Hub even had a name.

I'm starting to doubt either side really cares about developing it into anything of worth, even if it's not even half a year old yet

It is in dire need of being reduced to a more versatile, striking form. That depiction is simply too clunky.

You know for some reason I want to go play in some brightly-colored indoor playground.

From what I can tell, the signs on most stores from that era simply used the words "WINN-DIXIE", so I guess they thought so as well.

Still, I think it's the crossed W that I dislike about the current one. I never really liked crossed W's.

(Grocery stores, logos, and type. It's the anorak hour, apparently)

^ Oh, great, now you've got me wanting to do that.

^^Manchild

I also have had a tendency to isolate myself since I was very young.

The world could use more manchildren.

Or more adults who don't mind taking care of us manchildren. Either way.

Exactly what is so bad about being a manchild, again?

I never really have wanted to given up childhood, whatever that means. Perhaps this is where my obsessions with nostalgia and animation come from.

I don't know that manchildishness is necessarily bad. Holding onto that feeling of childhood - with its sense of curiosity and wonder - is one of the things that keeps me sane, after all.

I don't know. I just don't want to have to give up the things I like about being a child. I want to know that when I'm feeling especially energetic, I can still go out to the living room and spin around till I fall down. I want to know that I can listen to my Disney soundtracks instead of listening to alternative rock. Stuff like that, you know?

^ That too, the curiosity and wonder.

I get that curiosity-and-wonder feeling from libraries and bookstores. I go in and sense there being endless possibilities in front of me, that kid-in-a-candy-store kind of feeling.

Oh god, I used to love spinning around. Sure as fuck don't know why, dizziness was no fun.

Oh fuck now I want to do that right now!

Any of you ever have a Sit n' Spin? That thing was great for self-induced dizziness.

I'm tempted to get up and spin around right now, but I'm hesitant because I don't wanna fall on the concrete floor.

A few months ago, my mother had her friend over, and she (the friend) and my brother and I all stood out in the living room spinning, while my brother put on "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)". It was a lot of fun.
