Richard M. Nixon undid a government act that gave essentially unlimited funding to illustrators of childrens books with no time restrictions. If it weren't for him, all childrens books could have been like Harold And The Purple Crayon; so many more children might have learned to love to read, and Childrens books might still be considered a legitimate art.
Curse you Nixon! You did one bad thing!
All the other things that went wrong in Nixon's reign, I blame on Kissinger.
Never be without a Hat! Hot means heat. I don't care if your usage dates to 1300, it's my word, not yours. My Pm box is open.Aliroz: Nixon was definitely one of the most interesting US presidents.
JZ one: I agree. I think the Walkens would the criminal syndicate and the Cages and Goldblums would be the police force.
JZ two: Any examples in particular bothering you at the moment?

You're an ad hominem attack!^^^^Haha, I love that I am so predictable, everyone know when I've seen/heard something minor that's just pissing me off/bugging me.
Mostly, I just was having a conversation and plenty of people really seem to look down on "genre" books vs. "literary" novels. It doesn't make sense to me sense either type can be smart or rather inane. But, if you can put a story in a genre, that automatically cheapens any merit it might have.
Also, the Nic Cages should pretend to be cops but are actually gangsters (a la The Departed) and are trying to sabotage both the Goldblums and the Walkens.

Oversaturation
I had a dream involving non-existent "epic"-sounding 615 Music packages in the vein of Heartland V.1 that all predated it by five years (Heartland V.1 was commissioned by WBIR in Knoxville in 2000). And they all had weird names. And they transported me to my grandparents' house (their old one, the one that the new owners made renovations to that by default made me cringe)

JZ: Well, according to Clocky am apparently the CA to your AU, so you shouldn't be surprised.
Nah, it was just the sort of thing that sounded like it came from a recent experience. And I agree with you. What was said in this conversation to get you annoyed?
...good idea about the Cages. That's the thing about Goldblum, actually - he's the only one it's hard to imagine as a villain.
I feel bad for Carter too.

You're an ad hominem attack!Nixon was cool, ignoring the paranoia and the bit with Vietnam (which, as Ali said, was largely Kissinger's fault).
He would probably be high on my personal president ranking list, if I actually had one. Normally, I just pool together all the presidents who were awesome, all the presidents who were pretty awesome but aren't usually recognized (e.g. Polk), all the presidents that nobody cares about, and Andrew Jackson and Andrew Johnson.

you'll then have a grave in the clouds where you won't lie too crampedNixon’s anti-Semitism all was the doing of the very Jewish Kissinger.
Justice is a joy to the godly, but it terrifies evildoers.Proverbs21:15 FimFiction account.Eh, well, it basically could be summed up that if you want to be a writer/creator that could be taken seriously, you just can't do any sort of genre fiction. It has to be "real" world stuff that ponders important issues.
You know, that's all well and good. I like deeper themes in works, but it's not like people haven't inserted themes into genre fiction. I mean, technically Gullivers Travels is a fantasy/adventure book, but it's also a satire that comments and makes fun of a great deal of societal issues. Plus, it can reach out more of you write genres because having a group of characters sitting around pondering the world's state gets boring after 200+ pages.
Goldblum is just too dorky to be villainous, I'm sorry. I mean, remember that BBQ Jumbo Shrimp clip? Yeah, hard to buy him being a tortuous criminal. Crazy yes, bad guy no.
It's possible to ponder the state of the world very interestingly in genre work. Genre stuff can be used look at things from angles that are by definition ruled out of strictly realistic fiction.
Also, this is the relevant trope, but you probably knew that.
Goldblum apparently plays a chain-smoking, womanizing executive in The Switch. Hard to picture, eh?
