Canada gave us Rush, so I'm inclined to give them a little credit.
no one will notice that I changed this^^Sometimes I feel real insular for not listening to as much (recent) popular music as you.
^Canwest was initially slow to invest in specialty channels due to the strength of its terrestrial network. In 1999, seeking to change this, the company announced a deal to buy out the Canadian partners of NetStar Communications, owner of TSN, but was stymied by U.S. partner ESPN, which had veto power over such a sale. ESPN instead came to terms with Canwest's main rival CTV, a longtime business partner of ESPN's parent company Disney, as an acceptable buyer, which the selling partners eventually agreed to.

I don't listen to much "recent" music, really. Unless you consider the mid-/late 2000s recent.

Heapers’ HangoutI wonder if they'll insist on giving my book a Contemptible Cover.
no one will notice that I changed thisThat's what she said.
^My best friend for two years of high school used to make fun of me for liking certain bands and set me on the path of "good" music. Everybody thought we were dating and he stopped being my friend. Wasn't very romantic.

I was Green Day-obsessed as a 14-year-old. I still know all the words to "Jesus of Suburbia", somehow.
Heapers’ HangoutI love how I'm snapping between conversation and random George Carlin stand-up quotes

it has been friday in ottawa for years now
