Imi, do you secretly read Homestuck?

Sweet Bro And Hella Jeff always reminds me of the last couple of years of One Saturday Morning, or, more believably, Home Movies

I would name children "Sweet Bro" and "Hella Jeff."

But if you take the middle square, then it's most likely tha no one will win, because the other guy will cut off your avenues of winning out of spite.

Right. Should go to bed now.

To people really watch kid's shows and think that this is supposed to have subtle messages about whatever real-world issue? KIDS CANNOT UNDERSTAND SYMBOLISM, STOP READING IT IN

Why do they need a computer to tell them that Mutual Assured Destruction is a bad idea, anyway???

Humans and computers programmed to be logical are stupid in very different ways. The latter among other things can't interpolate its own data (i.e. when you say «That's stupid.» it's not sure what «that» is, to oversimplify) and the former among other things has shitty foresight and understanding of probability.

And I dunno, but the most powerful countries ran on MAD for fifty years

Well, I meant telling them why following through on MAD (i.e., striking first) was a bad idea.

(Also, I feel stupid again, I had to read Tzetze's post like three times to understand it)

Oh. At that point I think you can say «because it's a movie», since IRL both countries had a no strike first policy. Of course there were (and are) dipshits who think that it's a splendid idea but sadfpoalsdhf

Seeing CA talk about war is very weird.

Actually, after I posted that first thing I remembered that, in the context of the movie, the computer was going to go ahead and strike first without them, and they basically needed to talk it down.

...Which still doesn't really mesh with real-life policy, but right, "because it's a movie".

^ Why's that?

Because CA is associated with princesses and ponies and girly stuff, while war is the business of filthy violent men.
