I apparently, by way of puerile screwing with the redirect URLs pages ago, accidentally created My Buttocks.

I apologize.

So we haven't learned genitive yet, so it wouldn't be kosher to test us on that, so in effect, the only nouns that would require the accusative case are the feminine singulars. And their adjectives. For the adjectives, I believe the ending is -uju (probably -juju for soft adjectives), for the nouns it's -u (-ju for noun stems ending in soft sounds). Now let's check.

Ah, I missed something. Nouns ending in the mjaki znak aren't inflected away from the nominative at all, although their adjectives still get inflected.

Now, the problem is that I can't remember the accusative forms of the pronouns and so forth. Let's see... wait, what? They're declined the same way? Huh. What was it that was so weird, then?

Oh. Prepositional forms of the pronouns. Crap. Why did I think — right, because etom, nashem, etc. Which are determiners and possessives. Oops. And it looks like o goes funny around the prepositional form of ja. It turns into obo. Weird.

chto: chjom (knew this) kto: kom (NOT ktom) kom kom kom ja — mnje tui — tebje. vui — vas mui — nas on/a — njom, njey oni — nix

So... it's kind of like tebja/menja, except with je? And weirdness. At least njom/njey makes some kind of sense; the endings are om/ey for the masculine and feminine adjectives in singular prepositional case. So... n-mjakiznak as the whatchamacallit, stem, for the singular third-person pronouns in prepositional case?

ja: mnje tui: teb'je? vui: vas mui: nas on/a: njom, njey oni: nix what did I miss? I/we, you/you, heshe/they. That's it? That's it.

Okay.

So, to recap: accusative applies only to feminine singular. Masculines, neuters, and plurals all use their nominatives (except for the inanimate plurals or something, but since we don't know genitive we don't care). Feminines ending with mjaki znak aren't visibly inflected, but their adjectives are affected. The noun ending is -(j)u, the adjective ending is -(j)uju. The possessives and determiners and so forth are modified just like the nouns: etu, mo'ju, tvo'ju, va'shu, na'shu (jevo, jejo, and ix being indeclinable). /checks. Oh, ch;ju too (semicolon = mjaki znak).

Russian, romanized by my own weird system because I don't have Cyrillic installed. I had a test this morning and couldn't get off TVT last night, so I decided to study here. (Also, those apostrophes are not glottal stops, they're stress markers — I forgot if we had to mark stress this time.)

But yeah, awesome, you're learning Russian.

I find the usual romanization scheme to be pretty good, though, so I just use that.

Haha, I have no idea what the usual scheme is ;_; We spent plenty of time learning the cursive (which, unlike English cursive, is actually used, like, exclusively), but none on romanization. Guess it makes sense; you want to get the students into the native mindset.

I dunno who that is, but my art teacher in high school was named Okazaki :D

Ritsuko Okazaki, Japanese pop singer and songwriter. Born on Hashima Island in 1959. Was a member of Melocure in her last years; passed away unexpectedly in 2004. Known for having a very sweet voice and for writing very pleasant songs that are often harmonically rich.

I am unhappy at how I treated NBCU and Hearst in my wrestling of full control of AETN.

Urgh, guess I'll just break the Lifetime channels into three stakes and split them with NBCU and Hearst. And let Hearst have a stake in the ABC News Now channel (although I was planning to sell a stake to Scripps as compensation for losing WXYZ).

I am a terrible businessman.

A terrible businessman who wants to beef up ABC's news department, at least.

Apparently there are problems with it, among them the lack of a cable extension. I don't know why replacing Lifetime Movie Network (which seems to be doing well in the ratings) makes any sense, though.

And the sports department, which I think is inherently weakened by the fact that it is just "ESPN on ABC". That will be fixed, soon. The ESPN graphics and music will still be used, we'll just whip Troika or whoever into customizing the graphics for different networks like we used to!

And we'll drop the NBA when the contract expires. Our coverage has been nothing short of an embarrassment.

Whenever I have an assignment I should be working on, either the forum moves slow or the only active topics don't interest me. It's like everybody knows I'm trying to procrastinate and don't want to enable me.
