◊ this style first. Any suggestions regarding the textures? And does anyone know where I can find some good ones?
Also since the character isn't displayed fully in that example, woop zoop
◊.
Her name is Juni Komnenos and the world runs on the three pandimensional rules of Drama, Funny, and Cool, blessing her with the power of ROMAN IMPERATORS. I am going to have fun drawing this webcomic.

I'm not taking off my pants for a forum meme. -Nornagest...But you should draw lines for the eyelids, instead of just going from iris to disembodied floating eyelashes.
Other than that, good.
BTW: On a related note to that genre discussion you guys were having earlier, have you seen anyone sucessfully mix Black Comedy and High Octane Nightmare Fuel?
I'm trying to do both, but it seems most people either pull off one or the other - mainly because things that would normally be pants-voidingly scary often become just part of the humor in a Black Comedy setting.
Novel progress: The Adroan, 110k; Yume no Hime, 98k; The Pigeon Witch, on pause at 40k.Anyway I'm working on the cover of the first arc, "Juni Komnenos fights and kills the Almanac
◊" and I need some suggestions regarding the text and of course anything else you spot. This isn't the final version, but it's pretty close.
I fixed the ear thing and simplified the design a little because the last one was just unpleasant to look at. Or maybe not. I don't know. I'm not going to change the arc title though, since every arc will have the "Fights and kills _____" thing going, for good reason.
Anyway, which of these two do you prefer and is there anything else I should change?
I'm not taking off my pants for a forum meme. -NornagestI am sorry but I can't change that, it would ruin the most bitter piece of Black Comedy I have planned. It would ruin it completely.
e: Or maybe not. I'm still writing the plot.
e2: Starting the comic now. This
◊ will be the first cover. I'll use whatever site to upload it once I'm done with the first chapter or two. You can still give it critique since it's not going up for a while.

I'm not taking off my pants for a forum meme. -NornagestI drew a thing.
It's not that good, but some feedback'd be appreciated.
His eyes are a bit too... open, and his neck looks strange to me.
Anyway new character
◊, anything you want changed?
This might be Fan Wank of the highest level, but as a bassist, I have to admit: A lot of things about the way you drew that instrument are bothering me.
It's shaped like a cubist potato (but that's probably intentional) and has no bridge, no fretboard, no pickups, no strap (playing a bass standing up with no strap is like trying to wield a longsword with one hand), and no cord.
In other news, your knowledge of proportions and how the body bends is pretty good. I would say something about the overall flatness of the image, but I know that's probably a stylistic choice.

Novel progress: The Adroan, 110k; Yume no Hime, 98k; The Pigeon Witch, on pause at 40k.It's a lefty-bass! If this is intentional, good on you for making your character unique. If your character is right-handed, then the image should be flipped.
Uh, but it also doesn't have any tuning keys... In fact, here's
◊ a picture of a standard bass with all the anatomy labeled.
The only other thing I would suggest changing is making the kerchief around his neck look like a kerchief, instead of a decorative collar. Unless it IS part of his shirt.
But I really do like this picture. It's psychedelic even without color!

Yes, he is Left-handed. The bass is flying and materializes out of Hammerspace so I probably wont add a strap to it. But I'll look more thoroughly at bass anatomy and draw him again when I find the time to.
Also his chin is not changing, not much anyway.
I'm not taking off my pants for a forum meme. -NornagestThis is pretty much everything worth keeping that I drew between August 19th and 26th.
◊
There are two drawings of my hands, two 15-minute nude studies from my art class and one two-hour one of my former school bag, a sketch of a GQ model, and three rough protoypes of characters from that webcomic I keep talking about, including that girl from my last drawing as she'll look at age 12.
This is probably the last time I'll be posting one of these for a while.
I'm done drawing random stuff just to prove to myself I can draw, and most of my future efforts will be focused on my already too-long-delayed project.

Novel progress: The Adroan, 110k; Yume no Hime, 98k; The Pigeon Witch, on pause at 40k.Still haven't thought of a name for this or the previous one.
I'm not taking off my pants for a forum meme. -NornagestI drew this incomplete thing by looking at a picture of a Toyota 2000GT and trying to redraw it by eye.
Damn good looking car...
I'll finish it eventually....I just don't have an appropriate reference for the back.
EDIT: Also, here's something Mad Maxian I assembled a while ago out of a picture of a nigh-unknown 60s sports car - the Elva. I'm embarassed to say I think I traced the image off my monitor to draw the base plans for this one.
It's quite early/incomplete, but the car is there. Those wheel cages will probably go.

Worshipper of Ahura Mazda, as proclaimed by Zoroadster http://twitter.com/bpglobalpr

Hmmm... Alright. I may just do some Russian-level black comedy if I can think of a good concept. Maybe.
