My first art class in five years went well.
◊
I probably won't be regularly drawing in this style for a while, though. Takes ages.

Novel progress: The Adroan, 110k; Yume no Hime, 98k; The Pigeon Witch, on pause at 40k.Ah, here's the art thread! Very very impressed with a lot of this stuff; and it's interesting how much variety there is between everybody's styles, here. You all trump me in creativity, I can say that.
... Anyway yeah, I draw stuff too. A small sampling is here: http://goombajoe.deviantart.com/#/d2susj4
I'm more of a sketchy person, not all that used to full-blown, detailed pictures with backgrounds and color and everything.
Alright, time for more half-assed shitty sketches from me.
This is Giant Rider
, basically a cross between Kamen Rider and a Space Marine. As you can see, I took inspiration from various Primarch armors, particularly Sanguinus.
This is a helmet close-up and the left arm.
I tried to make it look like it was crying (which is what those black blots are), and I don't think I've done a very good job. Also, the left hand is a robotic prosthetic packed with explosive, so I tried to make it look expendable and blocky, while the arm remains armored to take the shock. I'm not very happy with the arm.
This is the right arm detail
, and I put a little crying face on the shoulder pad. The feathers don't look quite right.
The back insignia,
combining elements of a dragonfly, angel wings, and a sword. I also forgot to add veins to the dragonfly wings. Meh.
The sword itself
, which has...a wing design on the crossguard? Yay? Meh, I should've used a ruler.
Also, where am I going to put the scarf?

An useless name, a forsaken connection.I made a new background
◊, my old one was getting old.
Well, first I just fill in the basic colours using a brush. Then, to add shadows, I use a technique where I take a brush with 25% opacity and flow and add the basic shadows. I then eye-drop the colour and fade the shadow out, repeating the process until it looks good. Lastly I take the default 'leaf brush' in Photoshop and run some black and white at low opacities in suitable places to make it look a bit rougher.
It's, uh, kind of hard to explain. It's all done digitally though, because I just don't own any art stuff beyond my tablet.
I'm not taking off my pants for a forum meme. -NornagestI'm trying to learn to draw faces and figures, now. Here's a first shot on this
.
I've done doodles, studies etc. On newspapers, on trains.
This seems like a good place to ask. Long story short, I'm a writer, looking for an artist to help turn a script into a comic book. Additional information in the thread I started a little bit ago:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uadhd6gl5rcia0jfv8iai902&page=1
This project would be a learning experience for both of us, the end result hopefully being a physical comic book. Anyone interested, PM me or post in the thread. Thanks for your time, sorry if I've intruded into this delightfully pretty thread with such ridiculous demands.

This is a little embarassing, but I did a little art gift for Furiko while she was away. A self-portrait of the two of us.
Pardon the Sickeningly Sweethearts feel of it
◊; I'd like some feedback on the anatomy and such. I feel like I did a better job of it than normal, I wanna know what you guys think.
D'awww, Blackmoon :3
Furiko's arm seems a bit funny. I dunno if it's just me, but it's not in proportion with her hand.
Also: Reposting
They both look about the same to me. :/ But I like the character design, you can see that it's a unique culture.
Honestly Blade Runner was kind of boring.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Oh yeah, I forgot to say. I have a dA page, Blackmoon. I've seen you before, just never bothered to message you or anything xD *
Blade Runner's just one of those things you HAVE to see, like The Godfather and Scarface.
Yeah, that is true. Vangelis's soundtrack is very nice as well, especially Rachel's Song
.
Was looking through my old photobucket album and discovered a challenge pic I did for a friend. To practice things I wouldn't otherwise draw, I used to ask my friends to give me silly challenges. This friend asked for "St. George and the dragon playing cards with Voldemort."
It's also an early effort at colouring and digital inking. I think it turned out pretty well...

A doodle I did whilst round a friend's, watching him play Red Dead Redemption.
Red Lost Dead Redemption Planet 2
(I couldn't decide on which game I wanted best, so I did both)
I'm not too pleased with the hands. The posture could use a lot of work, and I need to do more studying of clothes and the way they fold/crumple. He's also a bit stumpy, his legs could afford to be longer.
I'm quite pleased with the face, and the linework.
