@Nightmare Alien: You're going to give me nightmares, which I suppose it the entire point. Great detail as always.

@pie: That's absolutely adorable.

Don't let him near Alien's horse-dog. :O

So there's a neat meme-ish thing going around that makes for a good exercise: Turn to page 100 in your favorite book, and illustrate what happens there. I picked Small Gods by Terry Pratchett (I also thought about Good Omens and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy). I think it turned out pretty good. ^^

Also, Socks looks a lot like my cat, but with more white on the feet. ARE YOU SPYING ON ME!?

Good work, but I always imagined Brutha at that time to be a lot chubbier.

Still, it's a good picture.

Now, what I would like to see is Om in his fullest divine form. That's a challenge, right there.

Yeah, to be honest, I never had a particularly clear idea of exactly how Brutha looked. He'd probably need some extensive design work if I were to do another one. ^^;

Now I want to see a picture of your cat!

I've never read any of these books but the more I hear about them the more I want to. Which one is Om and which one is Brutha? I think I want to do this meme too, it looks really fun!

KITTY. Okay, so it's not that close of a resemblance, but still. ^^

Also, Om is the turtle, Brutha's the kid. And you should definitely read the Discworld books. Everyone should! :D

Me: *researching holsters* "Omigosh! There's a special holster for military people? And it automatically adds three belts to the character's design instead of just one like regular holsters, for stability? And they can be leather? AWESOME!"

Twenty minutes later, I am rethinking my choice of holster because all those goddamn wrinkles are problematic.

Resemblances, resemblances...um...they're both...orange? Is a cute cat. I want to pet 'im. I like petting animals. But the comic thing looks really nice. I like how you drew the wood design thingy. I should work on that.
I tried the meme thing but I don't think my drawing level is high enough. -.- And I'm lazy. I was going to draw something from the last Percy Jackson book since I just finished it yesterday so it's still fresh. But I drew this instead. Behold my crappy MS Paint gradient! (tutorial was here)That's supposed to be a sunset.

Heheh, Jethro's self portrait looks a lot like my high school art teacher, Mr. Schnieder. :P

I actually think they're pretty good. The self portrait has a strange position and the arms are either too short or crossed too much. That's about it. Congratulations on looking like Mr. Schnieder!

Edit: Oh, and I like your Scandinavia and the World avatar.

Zombie. Because I'm writing something that has this very zombie in it. (SCARINESS WARNING: It looks like a zombie.)

I used a photo of a bog body as a reference, and yes, it did have hair coming out of its eyes for real.

Wow for real that is some awesomeness like whoah
I like the texture of the hair and stuff. The little strands stuck to the skull on the right look cool.

That zombie looks great, Harm. smile

Less dog, more horse.

Fat demon again. Gave him another hand, changed his belt, and gave him more back-scales.

A tescellation for Geometry class. It's due on Tuesday, I hope I can finish it by then. :/

Good job on the horse. Now it looks like one.

Anyway, here are some of my designs. I'm sorry about the quality, as I wasn't planning on showing it to anyone.

Lord Gene Mairon, the Iron Brand. For him I drew on influences of both Lord Genome and Sauron. I quite like the floating crown of iron.

This is an Arizoni Serpent, a standard soldier. I took ideas haphazardly from various pictures of Hindu deities such as Krishna and Shiva. The cloak was an effort to put a bit of Mexican in it, but I'm not sure if it works or if it actually looks Hindu at all.

An Arizoni Slayer, a sort of commissar-chaplain that hunts dragons. I took Team Fortress 2's Pyro and added the Serpent elements. The Slayer's sword and flamethrower. The blade is patterned on flame-bladed daggers such as the kris. Again, not sure if the Indian elements are showing through.

An useless name, a forsaken connection.

Love your style Kkrackknut. Kinda reminds me of Kilian Plunketts style which is never a bad thing. Great design for Gene (the floating crown steals the show) and I can see some indian elements in the Serpent design. The Slayer not so much.

Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.

I've wanted to try inking my pencil drawings for years, but I always thought the results looked weird, since I suck at using pen hatching to simulate greys, and I can't work with screen tones.

So I had an idea: Why don't I try using pen for the outlines, and shading with a pencil where pro artists would use a screen tone?

I like the results.

BTW: I have a weird habit of drawing characters I can't stand just for the sake of practice - in this case, that would be Martin, Sophie, and Riley there.

Also, seriously, where the hell are his eyebrows in that picture? I would have drawn them if they were visible.
