July 24th.
I really wish there was an SBS question about what would happen if Bon Clay made his "World's Funniest Face" with all the characters that have been introduced in the whole series. When he fought Sanji, it was just 90% his face with Usopp's nose, but now, I don't think even one feature of Bon Clay's own face would make the cut.
It must be difficulty writing for characters in something like World Seeker. They want to keep them interesting and write them in a way that's consistent, but sometimes you have characters like Kuzan or Crocodile who require a lot of guesswork at what consistent even IS at this point in the canon.
Kuzan's sort-of-agreeable, sort-of-not with Luffy. Teetering between "The Straw Hats should stay out of this mess" and "But I know the Straw Hats AREN'T going to stay out of this mess, so better to keep them in mind if Navy corruption's really going on here." That's PROBABLY right, but who can say? He does have some cool story bits though (NO, it wasn't a pun!)

Hey wait a minute! Thriller Bark isn't just set up for Wano. We also have connections to Big Mom and Blackbeard. We met Lola and Nami got Big Mom's Vivre Card from her, and Blackbeard will go on to kill Absalom and steal the Clear-Clear Fruit (and possibly the Shadow-Shadow Fruit, we don't know how that encounter ended for Moria) And Whitebeard too, he had Oars Jr. as one of his allies!
...Oh shit, and now that Luffy and Buggy are Emperors...
Shanks, what connection with Thriller Bark do YOU have!?

Well, Thriller Bark used to be island from West Blue, and Shanks is from West Blue, so...
I assure you, I'm perfectly trustable personOoh, good catch!
Hey, as long as all the Straw Hats are playable (well, "all" the Straw Hats; Sorry, Jimbei) simple puzzles probably won't bother me much.
Encountered a new mechanic in World Seeker that made me think of an obvious solution to the "Only Luffy playable" problem... Just have specific missions or types of missions for the others. So, in the world, you can find hidden treasure maps. These maps have drawings of a landmark and a few surrounding features. Well, why not have made these Nami side missions? You could select a map to look for, the game could have you play as Nami and you have to go find it (maybe even just setting her in the proper region if they needed to keep the mission compact). Her movement would be more limited than Luffy's, but she'd have unique moves of her own.
Then there could've segmented gameplay sections like that for the othe Straw Hats.
I thought that, but Usopp kinda sped up when running away, with wind lines around his body and everything. I could see that part being an Usopp-exclusive ability.
Though I would hope that's not Usopp's only ability, he's got so much utility with Pop Greens. Just off the top of my head, Boaty Banana to cross water.
Man, I can't wait for when Odyssey comes out, so that the hololive talents can play it. I wonder if they'd also need permission from Toei as well as Bandai Namco?

I think so, I'm not great at parsing out what separates an action-RPG from just any other action-adventure game. Luffy does have stats you can increase with skill points and equipment, his health bar has a numerical tally above it and when he takes damage or inflicts damage on enemies the hits are given a numerical value as well. Luffy also has levels in the form of "Pirate Rank," which increases as you complete missions and challenges, and enemies's health and damage do scale up along with that.
On lower difficulties you don't have to worry about this stuff too much, but at higher ones it does become more important to prioritize skills in areas you need the most, and keeping up to date with better equipment.
