Ugh, I hate when games do that. I prefer to switch out characters on the regular, so one guy that always has to be there just galls me.
I've heard theories that the new We Are OP depicts the Straw Hats in order of weakest to strongest (starting at 1:10):
So, Usopp, Nami, Brook, Chopper (shown in Monster Point), Robin, Franky, Jimbei, Sanji, Zoro, and Luffy. Seems to make sense, though we also have the official SBS speed rankings (this was pre-Jimbei):
Franky, Robin, Nami, Usopp, Zoro, Chopper (Walk Point), Luffy, Sanji, Brook
I am annoyed the upcoming Midnight Sons game is apparently doing that.
Whats even worse is that the Hunter is a completely made-up character for the game so in a game designed for you to make 3-man squads of your favorite Marvel characters one slot if always gonna be locked to the character everyone cares the least for.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."If we're going into game analogies, we could also note that some of the Strawhats have gained abilities that would give them different roles.
- Luffy's latest Gears would make him a burst type damage character who can deal massive damage with a few hits but gets rendered helpless afterwards.
- Zoro wielding Enma and its potentially dangerous side effects makes him go from a Melee Tank to a Melee DPS who loses HP with each blow — think a Final Fantasy Dark Knight.
- Nami gaining Zeus adds Summoning abilities to her DPS mage package. Think Rydia from Final Fantasy IV.
- Sanji tapping into his Germa genetics could make him The Berserker. He'd go from a Melee Fragile Speedster to an all around Made of Iron Lightning Bruiser...except he'd be out of control and won't stop until his enemy is dead.
Yeah, the different Gear 4 forms are basically Limit Breaks. Different temporary upgrades with different areas of strength.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Jinbe would definitely be a baritone.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThe SOS Bros, who I watched read through the series until they caught up, gave Jimbei a voice directly inspired by Optimus Prime and I think it fits better than his actual anime voice.
In that case, Zoro can be the bass.
Just out of curiosity, the members of the Blackbeard Pirates we have yet to see the post-timeskip designs of are Van Augur, Sanjuan Wolf, Vasco Shot, and Doc Q. I'm most interested to see what Wolf and Shot's fashion sense is now that they've ditched the prison uniforms, since Devon's outfit sure took a dramatic turn.

One hopes that Wolf's own clothing grows with the rest of him.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThat's how it works with most Devil Fruits.
Not always though. There's Jewelry Bonney.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI'm actually curious if Lunarians are gonna be like, extra allergic to water. Since they're on fire and all that.
Secret SignatureI'm thinking the fire thing might actually be that weakness. Literally burning up your own body cannot be good for you.
Disgusted, but not surprisedWow! This fight truly is the first one where Zoro fears to lose since... Mr 1?
There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upIts kind of funny Zoro only really struggles when he can't simply cut his opponent down; if he can cut it, then he always wins.
This fight is rather noticeable because its the first time in a long time he's actually had to put some thought into fighting his opponent this time.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well, he had to put some thought into getting at Pica at Dressrosa, even if after that was cake. Of course, that arc started — ten years ago?! Already?!

Zoros struggle with pica wasn't even really trying to cut him but finding where he was in all the stone
So, you know how Zoro can't even make King bleed with his strongest attacks? This is from chapter 1006, right after Marco hit King with his Bluebird attack.
Maybe those exclamation points are more genuine surprise than we thought.

I'm glad Zoro isn't curb-stomping everyone and hope it's that way for his upcoming fights... we're approaching the finale of OP and with possible upcoming enemies like Blackbeard's crew I'm hoping we see the Straw Hats truly give it their all in these last major fights of the story
she/herOh huh, he can bleed; there goes my βheβs an Energy Being in a pressure suitβ guess.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."The new chapter makes me wonder; if the really powerful swords are actually dangerous for normal people to wield, what does that say about Mihawk's sword, Yoru, described as "the world's strongest sword"? Does that mean that if an ordinary person tried to take it, it would instantly kill them?
Whitebeardβs Skysplitter and the Shodai Kitetsu are said to be as strong as Yoru too, and all three above Enma. Think about that for a sec!
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Roger's sword, Ace, is also in that category.
And I'd be kinda surprised if Big Mom's Napoleon and Shanks's Griffon weren't.

Jimbei's basically Thunder God Orlandeau.
Disgusted, but not surprised
