Bumping this up, since a minor detail I missed is that the two boys (Jamie and Jason/Jay) during a brief scene sleep together in the same bed. Jason's mother sees that and thinks that it might be a sign that Jason has found someone who will be more than just a friend ... but nothing sexual or romantic happens there; it's just two people in the same bed.
(Also, I am kind of iffy about using the Ass Shove trope as done on Can You Spare a Quarter? - it's my own addition but it seems a little inappropriate still)
eta: "scene" not "scheme"

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, that doesn't really change things to me. The work still seems fine to keep.
As far as the Ass Shove is concerned, it is pretty uncomfortable to list but ctrl+F "rape" on the Ass Shove page, you'll find several examples similar to that one so it won't be out of place on that trope. The trope is written as a comedy for the most part but it accepts any example of a foreign object being inserted into the rectum so..

Macron's notesBumping to get it out of the stack of locked threads.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think the main problem is the hosting site rather than the work itself. I don't honestly know what to do with that issue.
Honestly, the story itself seems fine. I just wonder if linking to Nifty and Asstr is even allowed at all?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."While the story itself appears okay... I don't think links should be given to it given the content being as both are NSFW links, and one is a link to pedo pandering stuff.
"Grandmaster Combat, son!"Does the hosting site having content-violating material really matter? The work itself is clean, and I doubt we're going to nuke the links on every fanfic page that's hosted on Archive of Our Own, which also has plenty of stuff we wouldn't allow pages for.

That's a pretty good question. Way back when in 2012 it was said that links to NSFW warning pages are OK if the warning pages themselves are SFW, for the record.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI feel like there's a difference between linking to a site like AO 3 and a site that openly is calling itself a site hosting "boy stories" and has them linked on the front page.
It's not like I'm calling to delete all links to it, the last archive seems to be hosted away from ASSTR, and the old version seems fine too, I only object to linking to ASSTR.
"Grandmaster Combat, son!"AO3 is a bad example for that anyway. Yes, it has a lot of smut, but it's clearly marked as such and there's also plenty of fics that have no adult content at all.
A better example: I got a fic hosted on Adult-fanfiction.org, which really is mostly lemon, approved by 5P once because the site has a content warning gateway page and the fic itself is mostly a romance yarn with a couple sex scenes.
Seems like my first impression was correct - the work itself is OK but the domains on which it's hosted aren't. Bit of a special case, evidently.
eta: The Nifty domain is also a problem - I did check some of the stories on the subdomains and they were paedobait stories most of the time.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe recommendation in the moderator forum is to not have links to the story, for the record. I note though that this domain will soon be archive-only, it seems like it doesn't host any paedobait. So maybe we can use that instead.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOkay, if you've found a link that doesn't drive ad revenue to a site for pedophiles, then I'm okay with keeping the page and linking there.
Yeah let's use that link.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."So, I think the possible solution for this problem is to use that archived version, and to put a hidden comment that while it's not the original host we don't want links to ASSTR or Nifty because they are porn domains that also host paedobait. Anyone?

That looks like it's our best choice.
